Dual Enrollment What’s Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment is a term used for classes that offer both High School credits and College credits.

At Horizon, we offer many of the classes you will need to complete an Associates Degree through Rio Salado. That means you could complete up to two years of college by the time you graduate. Through taking our dual enrollment classes you will get a head start of college while saving time and money because you won’t be retaking these classes in college AND tuition is a fraction of the cost the university!

Benefits of Dual Enrollment

● Students can complete just the AGEC and have their general education classes complete

● Tuition Grant Assistance is possible from Rio Salado. Available beginning in May

● Free Tutoring and Library Services from Rio Salado

● Access to a Rio Salado College Success Coach

● Classes are the same as a regular high school class and taken at Horizon

● Dual instructors are certified by Rio Salado and evaluated yearly

● Courses will transfer to all In-State Universities

● Many Out-of-State Universities will accept dual enrollment credits, families do need to check with admission offices to be sure
