CHESS: CLASSICAL CHESSClassical chess is the oldest way to play the royal game. This class will focus on the fundamentals of piece movement and strategy. Using games from classical geniuses, kids will learn that the game of chess is not about taking all of your opponent’s pieces, but about taking the right pieces, at the right time, to win in as few turns as possible. Students will study chess puzzles that will improve tactics, pattern recognition, and spatial memory.
