Hope in God Our Theme for 2017 VOL. 27 NO 35 SEPTEMBER 06, 2017
Welcome to our Family!
We are happy to have Nancy Chandler in our church family! Nancy and her husband, Philip, have been married for 44 years. They are good friends with Robert Stout, Nancy first visited Great Oaks
when Robert was baptized here in September of 2015. She has been coming to worship and study with us ever since. Prior to that, Nancy worshiped with the Sycamore View congregation here in Memphis for many years. She now works part time as a bookkeeper at Today’s Headlines. She has two dogs that she loves and she enjoys reading and yard work. You will enjoy getting to know Nancy, so be sure to meet her and welcome her to the Great Oaks family! 5004 French Broad Lane, Bartlett, TN 38135 901-388-1363

Disaster Relief—Hurricane Harvey
Giving To Help Relief from the Hurricane in Houston, TX – If you would like to give to help the disaster response in Houston, we recommend giving trough the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, which is based in Nashville and always helps with situations like this. They have al-ready been sending trucks, with many more on the way in the coming weeks and months. They work through local churches of Christ, so that the relief is given in the name of Christ. They are extremely well-organized, and more of your dollar goes toward actual relief (not salaries, over-head, etc.) than any other relief organization.
You can check out their website to learn more about them and get updates: http://disasterreliefeffort.org.
If you would like to help them in their recovery work:
1) You may give to them on line: http://disasterreliefeffort.org
2) You may give money to the church office and we will pass it along to Disaster Relief
