Heavy oil reserves are under-developed due to technological challenges, high capital costs (Capex) and high operating costs (Opex).

The chart shows the increasing spread between available recoverable resources and oil produced, as viscosity increases

The ability to cost-effectively extract heavy oil can increase global crude oil production by over 20% and increase the recoverable amount of heavy oil

This is HOOS’ market gap!

8

The Opportunity - Market Gap

**Heavy oil reserves are under- represented as a share of production**

Page 9: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

9

The Opportunity - Resource

Heavy Oil and Natural Bitumen Resources in Geological Basins of the World (USGS, 2007)

Resource Opportunity: Most of the World’s known Oil Reserves are Heavy Oil

World oil resource split is 70% heavy oil vs. 30% conventional oil

Conventional production methods are ineffective technically and cost prohibitive to allow high % recovery of the heavy oil resource

Vertical transportation compared to vertical pumping is an effective way to lift heavy oil that is viscous and often has large content of paraffin, sand etc. and allowing higher % recovery of the heavy oil resource

Page 10: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

10

The Opportunity - MarketMarket Opportunity: When the oil price drops, E&P organizations move their focus from new resource exploration and increased volume of production to improved efficiency of production

In 2014, the global crude oil price crashed from a past average of $110/bbl to a present average of $50/bbl.

The down-turn shaved off more than 50% of crude oil production company earnings.

When oil prices drop, E&P organizations shift strategic focus from volume of production to efficiency of production.

Page 11: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

11

The Opportunity - Technology

Secondary or Tertiary Recovery technologies that change reservoir conditions enable improved recovery of heavy oil, but at higher Capex and Opex per barrel with additional inefficiencies.

Steam injection to heat and pressurize oil allows pumping and improved recovery as viscosity decreases with increased temperature, but limitations include high cost to procure boilers or turbines, high cost of fuel gas to run boilers, source availability of water and gas and intensity of environmental footprint.

Water and Polymer Floods also enable improved recovery but have high Capex and Opex associated with them.

Conventional sucker rod pumps and PC-pumps can lift heavy oil but require intermittent replacement with service rig operations which increases the Opex as does disposal of rods and tubing which often become naturally radioactive due to their usage.

Conventional pump technologies do not take advantage of latest advances in Nanotechnology, I.T.,A.I. and Telecoms.

Technology Opportunity: Conventional Technology to improve heavy oil recovery can be Expensive, Inefficient with a large Environmental Footprint

Page 12: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

HOOS is a new artificial oil lifting solution focused on medium and heavy oil reserves using an oil absorbent, continuous belt.

In contrast with traditional technologies, it replaces vertical pumping with vertical transportation.

It replaces the need for down-hole pumps, rods strings, tubing and down-hole chemicals.

The technology is augmented as part of the digital oilfield innovation era with a fully featured IT operating system providing on-line communication, remote control and production optimization.

It was designed with a focus on optimized production, energy efficiency, extreme reliability and care for the environment.

Continuous Optimization

Proprietary Well Operating System monitors and records every parameter of the running equipment.

Continuous remote monitoring, optimization and cloud operability of each HOOS unit

Continuous monitoring includes instantaneous production, power consumption, belt speed & temperatures, through a secure VPN to a central cloud server.

The cloud server summarizes HOOS unit operations: GIS positioning, contextual menus, operating calendar, intelligent schedules, workflows, alerts, production history and cost forecast.

Measures production in real time in a meaningful dashboard display.

The primary design of HOOS is to operate in bare casing, in order to cut unnecessary operational complexities and reduce costs.

When operating within casing, the installation operations follow 9 easy steps:

1. Install BOP / technical leg2. Install down-hole / pipes3. Install driving unit4. Install belt at surface5. Drop belt to required depth6. Seal the belt7. Install metering unit8. Perform optimization9. Start production

14

Field Installation Operations

Page 15: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

HOOS operating concept is significantly different from traditional technologies, in that the fluid is transported and not pumped to surface.

15

HOOS Sand and Water Solution

water oil

Key Operating Differences:1. There is no suction or down-hole pump,

therefore no valve to be damaged by excessive sand wear or fluid volume wear.

2. There is no rod string or tubing in typical installation that needs to be driven from surface and exhibits wear or cracking fatigue over time.

3. Oil and sand stick to the belt, while water flows down and is not lifted to surface.

4. At the surface, oil is simply scraped from the belt, therefore no mechanical damage from sand wear or plugging.

5. In all our test, if the water content is lower than 70%, the water does not accumulate, nor does the well get flooded

Page 16: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

16

HOOS Gas Handling HOOS is a natural separator of

gas and oil.

The surface unit acts as an extension of the casing, therefore gas floats freely from the perforations to the surface and inside the surface unit, driven by the pressure. Then, on the right side of the surface unit there is a special flange (red bullet) where the gas can be collected and sent to the main line or converted into power and co-generation.

Oil goes downwards to the metering unit, it is measured and the pushed forward to the tank or to the gathering park.

Tubing

Downwards belt

Pictures show a transversal (horizontal plan) section thru casing/tubing/belt

Production Without Tubing Production within tubing is not a

prerequisite of HOOS

Belt is directly inserted into the well casing and the downhole unit is suspended through the belt itself

Belt travels free within bare casing

Due to increased space, belt is wider which accounts for higher productivity (20-100 m3/day)

Production With Tubing Depending on country specific

regulations, HOOS is able to operate within tubing

Belt is inserted through production tubing, which takes the role of protecting the belt, centralizing, preventing rotation and improved tension in the belt to allow vertical oil transportation

Optimum tubing size is 6”, 4.5” and 3.5”, the higher the better

Belt section will be smaller due to limited tubing dimensions

Page 18: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

Belt Centralization in Tubing

Connection component horizontal section

Downward belt

Upward belt

If required, HOOS is able to operate within tubing, with just a few simple modifications from standard operations:1. Down-hole unit is replaced by a perforated

tubing, having inserted a rotating pulley linked with long and elastic springs

2. As tubing units are inserted, both ends of the production belt are pulled through tubing

3. A special connection component is insertedin-between two tubing units in order to maintain belt centralization and avoid belt wearing on the tubing walls

4. Connection component features a set of wheels, bigger in the center and smaller on the external walls, that help reduce vibrations and keep the belt centered within the tubing

19

The HOOS Energy AdvantageTransport lifting is 10X more energy efficient than suction and pumping

Conventional lift technology uses more energy than HOOS and gets more expensive as oil gets thicker and heavier due to efficiency losses in pumping.

HOOS is more energy efficient overall than pumping, because viscosity aids lift efficiency, HOOS technology uses LESS energy as oil gets heavier and thicker.

Page 20: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

20

The HOOS Cost Advantage

For traditional pump based technologies the cost per bbl increases with well impurities or viscosity, while HOOS costs per bbl steadily decrease. The more viscous or sandy the oil, the lower the lifting costs per bbl relative to traditional technologies.

HOOS addresses production challenges inherent in pump-based technologies, specifically for sandy oil, viscous oil, high paraffin content, high water-cut or high GOR wells with steady, consistent fluid transport.

HOOS has a clear energy efficiency advantage compared to current pumping technologies: power consumption reduction from 1MWh down to 0.065 MWh while significantly increasing production.

Further cost reductions resulting from reduced work-over frequency to repair down-hole pumps and eliminating the costs of pumps, tubing, and rods.

Lower cost lifting solution with steady transport, high energy efficiency and reduced well servicing frequency

Page 21: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

21

The objectives of the pilot tests were not peak oil production levels but were focused on testing the HOOS unit for development enhancements, moving oil at lower costs than previous and agreeing to candidate wells offered by operators that were shut-in and/or extremely challenging to produce wells. In other words, the pilot test wells were successful in achieving the objectives of the trials but were not specifically focused on optimum candidate criteria while wells selected under the MOUs in India, Kazakhstan and Egypt will be focused on commercial oil production for the benefit of HOOS and the operators

Page 24: HOOS TECHNOLOGIES CORP. HOOS: Heavy Oil Operating System … · 2020. 7. 18. · This overview is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer to sell or a

24

Well Selection Criteria

Water-cut less than 70% is optimum for HOOS transport lifting as testing indicates that below 70% water-cut accumulation/flooding is not a concern in the well-bore.

Solids (sand, paraffin, asphaltenes) and viscous oil are not limiting factors for HOOS as performance of absorption/sticking to the transport belt are improved at lower API grades of oil.

Gas is not a limitation as interference concerns do not affect the production of heavy oil as the fluid is not pumped but transported and the larger diameter casing conduit to surface allows break-out of gas from the oil more effectively.

Sour corrosive conditions are not a concern as the transport belt is not affected by corrosion and the surface unit is fully contained and connected to production pipelines.

Vertical well configuration from surface to top of fluid column is optimum for centralization of the transport belt, however, advances have been made and continue by HOOS for centralizing the belt inside tubing and casing.

Well casing condition in terms of smoothness and structural collapse strength is not a concern as the HOOS technology does not create stress on the tubulars with high draw-down (high pressure differential) production.

Active well or recently producing wells are better candidates as shut-in wells need to be un-loaded first of built-up stagnant and potentially degraded fluid in the well.

Optimum Candidate well is focused on Verticality and Water-cut less than 70%

Strategy and Business ModelContinue Validation of HOOS Solution with Commercial Performance

Innovation, development and extensive in-field testing of HOOS technology is complete with successful trials and technical due diligence assessments by a number of oil companies in the pilot host countries (Hungary, Romania, Albania).

Based on positive industry reception of the HOOS technology, the business strategy has been evolved to a service model which involves the creation of operating partnerships managed by HOOS and sponsored partners.

Several national oil companies including in Albania, Iraq, Kuwait, Russia, China, etc. have expressed high interest in HOOS. Our strategy will be to create operating partnerships with each of these national oil companies to address the huge market potential with NOCs.

The advantages of the adopted model are broad and include long term profit sharing in the targeted resources, while maintaining control over the HOOS patented equipment.

HOOS will provide the technology and the host company will grant the oilfield production right. As a service provider to the oilfield operator, HOOS’ sole responsibility will be to install and operate the HOOS unit and bring oil to surface, at which time the oilfield operator maintains all aspects of the oilfield and engagement with local stakeholders.

MoU’s have been signed and commercial expansion is ready to commence:

o Kazakhstan: 3 prototypes, leading to 300 wells initially committed.o Egypt: 2 prototypes, leading to 300 wells initially committed.o India: 2 prototypes, leading to 400 wells initially committed.

Focused Strategy in 2020 and 2021 will be to install HOOS units under commercial contracts in these countries for further validation of the HOOS Solution and performance history.

Due to COVID19, HOOS will look to raise a bridge financing of up to $1 million at $0.35/share, in order to fund the ongoing pilot with ONGC.

HOOS Technologies Corp. is also looking to do a follow-on financing of up to $10 million, to be priced based on accomplished milestones. Potential opportunity to increase capital raise to $25 million, contingent on additionalcontracts.
