WHAT IS A LEARNING COMMUNITY?

• Two or more courses that are taught together (i.e. Literature with History) by instructors from each area to create a clear connection

• Students interacting with other students and teachers as part of a closely-knit, supportive community of learners

• Students experiencing a variety of learning modes such as large and small group discussions, learning through activities and projects, and participating in field trips & hearing lectures.
