Who creates the flag?

• Snowball had found in the harness-room an old green tablecloth of Mrs. Jones's and had painted on it a hoof and a horn in white.

When is using the flag?

• This was run up the flagstaff in the farmhouse garden every Sunday morning.

Symbols of the flag

• Snowball explain, that the green represents the fields of England, while the hoof and horn represents the Republic of the Animals, witch would arise when the human race had finally been overthrown.

Why did they created that flag?

• The Animal Farm flag is a symbolism for their hope and freedom as a community. It shows England how they have defeated the humans by the advance of the civilization.

Historical asociation

• This version is based on the hammer and sickle and the red flag of the Soviet Union, probable reference of the green flag.
