Our Honors Program Living-Learning community (LLC) is a space where Honors students can live and learn together, located in Great Plains East. Students who are accepted into the Honors Program may apply to live in the Honors Living and Learning community. The hall is staffed with an Honors Resident Assistant, two Head Honors Mentors, and three additional Honors Residential Mentors to live in the Honors pods with first-year Honors students.

One alum said the Honors living-learning community allowed her to "surround myself with peers who were excited to learn and engage with new ideas both in and out of the classroom. These peers helped me grow as a person by encouraging me in my studies and challenging me to never settle for anything less than my best.”

The community’s traditions include:

• knocking on everyone's door before dinnertime for the first two weeks of class

• propping doors open in the evening

• dropping by to visit and get help on school work

• encouraging reluctant residents to attend campus events

Honors students also hold movie nights, Mario Kart races and homework parties.
