She scored four goals in a second-round win ove r North Hagerstown and three in the Class 3A West championship game against Manchester Valley. n Finished as the leading scorer in Frederick County for the season with 19 goals and eight assists (46 points). n Her scoring prowess helped TJ fnish 9-5-2 and advance to its frst state fnal since 2001. She assisted on the Patriots’ only goal in a 4-1 loss to Northern Calvert in the Class 3A championship game at Loyola. Defensive Player of the Year CHIDERA OGWULU WALKERSVILLE SENIOR CENTER BACK n Her combination of strength, speed and athleticism made her a force in the middle of arguably the county’s toughest defense. Finished with four goals and fve assists, and she contributed on the defensive end of the feld. BRIANNA SKIDMORE JUNIOR FORWARD URBANA n A blue-collar worker who is always trying to perfect her craft, she led the Hawks in scoring this season with 11 goals and two assists. KAITLYN STEIGNER SENIOR DEFENDER URBANA n Her athleticism and ability to play the ball in the air made Urbana’s defense one of the best in the county once again. MORGAN TILLEY SOPHOMORE MIDFIELDER SJCP n Finished as the Vikings’ leading scorer for the second consecutive season and the third-leading scorer in the county afer tallying 19 goals and 10 assists. LAUREN TRUELOVE JUNIOR DEFENDER OAKDALE n The backbone of a traditionally strong defense that allowed just 15 goals all sea- son. Helped the Bears go 13-1 in the regular season and 15-3 overall.
