Honor roll students receive t-shirts from PTCI

Free WiFi at rodeo for PTCI cell customersDid you know PTCI provides free WiFi to our cellular customers during the 2019 Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo? Complimentary high-speed WiFi is available during all the rodeo performances at Hitch Arena, so you can enjoy your PTCI phone without worry of going over your data.

PTCI rewards students who make good grades with school-themed shirts. Congratulations to our area’s hard-working students!

• Choose a streaming service: If you subscribe to Netflix, you are already streaming TV. Other services include Sling TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, and YouTube TV, to mention a few. You may want to look for free trials before selecting your streaming provider.

Snap awayTips and tricks for better phone picsCell phone manufacturers introduce new smartphone models with numerous megapix-els, telephoto and wide angle lenses, and upgraded rear and front-facing cameras. Your phone can capture gallery-worthy pictures. But what does any of that mean when your photos look no better than they did five years ago?

Improve your skills with these simple tricks.

1. Clean it. A dirty lens creates smeary, spotty photos. Wipe the camera lens before shooting your next series of pictures.

2. Set it. Has your picture ever been too bright or too dark? Tap the subject of your photo. By doing this, you set the correct exposure for the photo and let the right amount of light into the frame. Tapping the subject area also sets the focus.

3. Frame it. Turn your grid guideline to “on” in settings. Place your subject into the intersection of one of the gridlines. This balances your photo and follows the art principle known as the “rule of thirds.”

4. Download it. You might crave more creative control over your point-and-shoot photos. Try downloading an app like Camera + 2. With this app, you can take pictures in high-resolution or RAW format, manually adjust shutter speed, and more.

Broadband and barbequePTCI’s 65th Annual Meeting Over 1,000 members and guests braved high winds to attend PTCI’s 65th Annual Meet-ing. Hunny’s served delicious barbeque before the meeting. PTCI’s CEO, Shawn Hanson, updated attendees about the cooperative’s status. Marketing Manager, Connie Hawkins, presented winning members with $3,750 worth of cash and prizes purchased from local small businesses.
