6CB Homework due on Friday 02/09/11

    Each Day

Each night you should complete at least 15-20 minutes of reading. You can read to an adult inyour house, share what you read with an adult, or you can read to yourself. As you completeyour reading each night fill in your Reading Record . During the week you will show Mr Chris

    your progress with your reading.

Make a Homework Plan-Make a plan and do it on paper, use it and bring it on Friday

Today we heard from some interesting speakers who told us about an organization they are in-

volved with or about how they organize themselves. Your first task this week is to make a plan

of how you will complete all of your homework tasks for this week.

You may wish to use the Research, Action Map and Plan (RAP) method we used today to lay out

what you do. Dont forget when using your research, you will need to check what activities you

or your family have planned (you need to talk to a parent) and you will need to look carefully at

ALL of this Homework Sheet to check that you will complete everything that is set (we have too

many people who had not completed work from last week).

Mathsmake a record of your day. MUST BE DONEready to use at school on WEDNESDAYIn an organized manner, make a record of a full 24 hours in your day on Monday. Start your

time at midnightyou will probably be asleep then and then with as much detail as you can

record all the things that you did. Try to include start and finish times for all the things that you

do. You can find the lesson times on the timetable on our blog.

Remember that for it to be organised you will need to be very neat and you will need to use

some kind of system (chart perhaps) will allow you to easily read the data.

Unit Inquiry - talk to your parents

The Central Idea for How we organise ourselves is Being organised empowers us to achieve.

Explain the central idea to your parents. Have a good discussion with your parents about organiza-tion and being organised. Find out how your parents get organised and how this helps them. Do they have

any areas of organization that they would like to improve? Do they have any tips or good ideas that you

could use to become more organised or independent?

Go to the new blog posting called How our parents get organized. Write a paragraph explaining how one or

both your parents organize their life. You could explain about any tools they use to help them too.

Visit other peoples postings to comment on what they record in their posting.
