• The genre Crime thriller often appeal to a wide range of people including both gender hence males and females mainly males because male’s are more into violence, murderous type of things as females will find them more disturbing and tend to opt for lighter entertainment.

• The target audience age for crime thriller usually ranges from 15 to 24 (especially because many crime thrillers are often certificated 15 or 18). However some older people do appeal to crime thriller but stereotypically the target audience will range from 15 to 24 years old. 15 to 24 is the target age simply because people younger than that may find some of the things that comes across in a crime thriller disturbing and sometimes scary plus it’s not good for their age to be watching crime thriller as crime is a dangerous factor and we don’t younger being influenced by it; whereas older know what’s right or wrong.

Horror thriller

• Horror thriller films normally appeal to people who like

scary films and stereotypically they are often teenagers

and young adults (even adults).

• The age for people that watches thriller often range

from 15 to 27 years old but it’s certainly 16+; however

some people over that age range hence older people do

watch horror but that’s the main age range that watches

horror thriller. 16+ is the age range simply because

older people find horror entertaining whereas it’s not

targeted for younger people because they can get really

scared and possibly traumatised.

Psychological thrillers

• A psychological Thriller should usually be aimed at people who likes a complex plot and who are prepared to have to think during the film. It may also possibly attract people that have been through the same thing as the protagonist in the film. Moreover, the target audience would be both gender’s male and females aged 16 and over; however it doesn’t have to be 16 as the minimum age it can be younger people as well only if they’re prepared to think a lot during the film as psychological do usually come across as confusing.

Spy thrillers

• Spy thrillers appeals to both genders i.e. males and females. The age is also broad when it comes to the spy thrillers target audience as it ranges from 12 to 30 years old hence 12+. I say this because spy thriller normally have elements that aren’t off putting or shall I say scary which therefore younger ages can’t watch hence a lot of action is involved which reinforces why younger ages i.e. 12 years old will watch as they tend to like a lot of action hence fast packed things.
