Pay your $300 Housing DepositComplete Housing ApplicationIndicate on your Housing Application one of the following: I wish to be Administratively Assigned I intend to Homestead I intend to be pulled in I do not wish to HomesteadCheck YES only if you have decided notto homestead your current room and wantResidential Programs to assign you to aspace which they choose based on yourpreferences. 3. 1. Log onto my.hofstra.edu2. Select Student Services button 4. 3. Select Residential Programs Menu 5. 4. Select Residential Programs Room Application 6. 5. Click Submit and follow the instructions to complete the Student Housing Application 7. Please verify that the information you submitin your housing application is accurate,including your contact information and interestin TLCs. 8. Complete your housing preferences, even if it isyour intention to homestead your current space. Your preferred roommates information MUST be listed in the first line. Enter 1 additional person if you are looking for a double. Enter 2 additional people if you are looking for a triple. Enter 3 additional people if you are looking for a suite. 9. It is necessary to confirm on your application thatyou are eligible to homestead your space.Some rooms are not eligible tohomestead, such as first-yearspaces. To be eligible to homestead your space, your housing application should look like this 10. Room MUST be filled to capacity If you want to live in a double room you MUST alsoselect a roommate. Indicates that the room is currently full and no student can be pulledIndicates current residents. in. 11. Have your roommate list your name andHofstra ID # on their application as well.List roommate on the firstline, and then listsuitemates. 12. Have current roommate/suitemate who areNOT returning to the room release their spaceon their housing application. If your roommate is NOT returning to housing theyMUST access their portal account and release theirspace, by indicating not homesteading under theResidential Programs menu.Checking either optionwill release your space. 13. As a homesteader in a suite, in order to securea particular roommate you MUST list thatindividual FIRST in the specific roommaterequest section of the application. The first person listed will be your actual roommate. 14. During the Homesteading Process studentshave the ability to pull other students into theirroom if there is going to be a vacancy. For students living in Colonial Square orNassau/Suffolk Halls, it is imperative that thestudent(s) being pulled into a vacant spaceMUST submit their Housing Application firstindicating their preferred roommate andsuitemates. 15. Once all students being pulled in have updated theirHousing Applications the person(s) Homesteadingshould then update their Application indicating theirpreferred roommate and suitemates.Indicates students beingpulled into the room. 16. By clicking the I Agree button you areagreeing to The Residential LivingAgreement, The Living Factor and TheCode of Community Standards. 17. Students will not have the ability to access theirHousing Applications to make any changesonce they have selected a room for theupcoming academic year. 18. 1. Confirm yourpersonal informationis accurate.2. Select the meal planof your preference.3. Submit your choice.Notice: If you declineat this time and donot return to select ameal plan, theminimum plan will beselected on yourbehalf. 19. All parties involved will receive a confirmationemail to their Hofstra Pride account withinminutes of homesteading or being pulled into aroom/suite.
