5. Wind the str ings counterclockwise (viewed fromlhe spring side). Wind t ighl ty n an even pattern,makrng sure thal the two slr ings lay side by side andare noltwisted. Placeihestr ingsin thetwostots in thespoor lu9s. Leave 5" to 6" ofstr ing prolruding irom thelugs. Al ter winding, there shoutd be 1/4 between rhewound sifln9 and lhe outside of edge of the spoot (seerl lustrat ion).

SPOOL REPLACEMENT ANDMANUAL ADVANCE1. Remove reia ner cap by turning counterclockwise.2 Lrft out lhe spool and remove the sprtng.3. Inslal l thespring on the newspool. Makesurethatthe

two slrings are captured in lhe lugs (to prevent un-windrng) with 5lo 6 inches of s lr ing protruding. Fe6dthe ends ol thelwo str ingslhrough the two slr ing head

4. Place lhe spool (w i th spr ing) intolhesir ing head. Lineupihe two lugs that hold thestr ings with the two str inghead eyelets. Push the spool into the string head andpull string ends lo release them from tugs. Turn thespoo I cou nlefc lockwise and push down unt i l the spoolbottoms against lhe str ing hsad. Now turn lhe spoolclockwise sl ighl ly. This wi l l lock the spoot so that iheretainer can be inslal led.

5. Reinslal l ihe retainer cap bolt by lurn ng i t c lockwiseand i ighlen securely. Once a year l ighl ly grease lhelhreads on lhe relainer cap bolt.
