I hope all Members, family members’, staff and friends of Veterans had a joyous and wonder-filled
Christmas and a Happy New Year! How blessed we are to live in America where we enjoy freedom
and liberty.
I am pleased to share with you that our newly remodeled “Deli” is now totally complete as we move
forward with “business as usual” for the rest of the year. The Volunteers that serve our Veterans in the
Deli and throughout the campus deserve our unending praise and gratitude. Thank You!
Again our Christmas Party was a glorious success with standing room only! Thanks to everyone who
helped make this annual event a well-attended and joyful event. As we move forward into the New
Year I want to express my gratitude to Members and families for entrusting us with the care of your
loved one; it is a distinct honor to serve our nation’s heroes.
Randy

Kayla will be providing one-to-one visits and assist with library organization.
She is a teacher at Gifford School, teaching 4th grade, so she would also like
to assist with outings and woodshop during the summer month. In her
spare time, Kayla enjoys crafting.
Kayla is very excited to start serving our Veterans as her dad is a Vietnam
Veteran and she has great loyalty to those who have served.
Welcome Kayla.

One of our major responsibilities at the Wis-consin Department of Veterans Affairs is
providing 24-hour skilled nursing care to our nation's heroes. The WDVA is proud of the three Veterans’ homes we operate –
Chippewa Falls, King and Union Grove - serving nearly 1,000 Veterans and their spouses.
The Wisconsin Veterans Homes are among the best in the country, boasting an excel-
lent safety record and the highest quality of care ratings. Our homes are very popular among Wisconsin's Veterans, evidenced by
the occupancy levels and waiting lists asso-ciated with each home, and our staff reten-tion rates that exceed those of comparable
facilities across the state. We are here to serve those who have
served us all.
