The Home Use Program (HUP) is a benefit of our new Campus Agreement (EES) with Microsoft. This cost-effective benefit offers you, as a College of Charleston employee:

access to a copy of either Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office 2011 for Mac – not bothother applications such as Project and Visio to use on a home computer or laptop

Will my IT departmentsupport me at home?

The College of Charleston Helpdesk cannot provide support for your home machine. Microsoft provides free 90-day software support (from activation) for employees.

I have Office 2010 at work. Can I get Office 2010 for home?

No, only the latest versions are available.

Why can’t I have bothOffice 2013 and Office2011 for Mac?

The Campus Software Assurance benefit only allows qualifying employees to acquire one Office product (Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office 2011 for Mac) for use on their home computers.

Yes, employees have upgrade rights, but will still have to pay the $9.95 program fee. Employees can upgrade to either Office 2013 or Office 2011 for Mac – not both.

IT is a planning an upgrade to Office 2013 by the end of this year.
