A larger 7-seat MPV (sister to the C4 Picasso) built

on the new Peugeot-Citroen Group EMP2 platform,

with a weight reduction of approximately

110kg from the predecessor model.

The Grand Picasso model is slightly longer than the C4 Picasso model (by 169mm), with a wheelbase increased rearwards by 55mm to 2.84metres. The Grand Picasso is 46mm greater in height too.

Structure has increased HSS and A/UHSS content to reduce weight and also includes composite rear floor and tailgate panel. Many developments are for packaging and ride quality; such as the new dual material mounts for the rear axle and changes to shock absorber mounting position changes. The tailgate and the use of aluminium for the bonnet contribute as much as 70kg to the weight reduction measures.

Technology : A new Selective Catalyst Reduction system debuts on the C4 Grand Picasso (BlueHDi models), with an after-treatment system positioned up-line of the particulate filter to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions.

As a 7-seat MPV, the two outer seats in the 2nd row can slide fore and aft to allow access to the two seats in the third row.

Park Assist detects a sufficiently sized parking space and then assists by steering the car into that space, with the driver just operating the throttle, brake and gear selection. The 12” display shows the image from the reversing camera. All models have Electronic Stability Control and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, as well as Emergency Brake Assistance

The C4 Grand Picasso has a windscreen mounted camera. This enables:• A warning to the driver of unintentional drifting out of lane, with the camera detecting the vehicle approaching and crossing the white lane markings. The driver is alerted by a vibration transmitted through the safety belt.

• Intelligent Headlamps, which automatically dip when the camera detects an oncoming vehicle

The Grand Picasso also features radar-based Active Cruise Control, to detect the vehicle ahead slowing down and autonomously adjusting the vehicle speed (within a 15mph limit).

There is Blind Spot warning, with a visible orange symbol illuminating in the door mirror glass, to alert the driver if there is a vehicle in a potential blind spot. This system uses sensors in the front and rear bumpers.

VTR : Has 16” ‘Viper’ alloy wheels, LED daytime run lights and electric parking brake.

VTR+ : In addition, the VTR+ has front fog-lamps and automatic lights and wiper operation, air conditioning, rear parking sensors and heated electric door mirrors.

17” alloy wheels are optional.

Exclusive : In addition to VTR+ features, the Exclusive includes: front fog-lamps with cornering function, LED front indicator lamps, 12” TFT display screen together with reversing camera and satellite navigation system. The Exclusive is recognisable by the 17” ‘Anaconda’ alloy wheel style.

18” alloy wheels are optional.

Exclusive+ : Is recognised by the 18” ‘Python’ alloy wheels and the panoramic sunroof. Additional features include the Park Assist system together with front parking sensors, Active Cruise Control, the Blind-Spot warning system, motorised tailgate and door mirrors that feature LED indicator lamps.

The Grand Picasso features LED tail-lamps on Exclusive (optional) and Exclusive+ models (standard).

The optional Drive Assist pack for the Exclusive includes the Lane Departure Warning, Active Cruise Control and Intelligent headlamps.

The optional Exclusive Convenience Pack includes the motorised tailgate, Park Assist, Active Cruise Control, Intelligent headlamps and Lane Departure Warning.
