“I was in the Postal Service for 20 years before I started working with my dad. He was in construction about 40 years. When I started I didn’t know anything so I was left to do all the sweeping, shoveling, cleaning, but was running things a couple years later. Eventually, I took some time off...

like ten months...and then came back to work for myself.”

With those years of experience working with his father, it didn’t take long for Richard’s company to be a success when he went out on his own.

“I printed off some business cards and off I went. I just love the freedom to be your own boss, and I like seeing the final product when I build a house or do a remodel and see how people decorate their homes…kind of puts the icing on the cake.”

To go along with his grassroots marketing, Richard wasn’t having much luck with other lead generating companies, so when he saw a Porch sign in his local Lowe’s, he couldn’t help but be skeptical. Still, he took a shot.
