The 4 Food Storage Concerns

“This evening, I am going to introduce you to the company and products that have answered the 4 concerns most people have about food storage.

1. Don’t know what to buy 2. Don’t know how you can afford it 3. Don’t know how to use it/cook with it4. Don’t know how to rotate so that it doesn’t go bad.

I will answer all of these questions for you tonight. I will not be asking you to add additional money to your current budget. I will be asking you to reallocate the way you are budgeting for food and groceries now. In many cases, you will be saving money. By the end of the evening, you will see that THRIVE should be part of your current grocery budget, and part of your everyday meal plans.”

Food Storage Quiz“How about if we start with a little quiz about food storage? Raise your hand if you think you know the answer.”

1. How long does food storage last? (Depends on food. Anywhere from a couple years to 30+)

2. Which food has the longest shelf life? (Wheat. 30 years to indefinite.)

3. What is the difference between Freeze Dried & Dehydrated food? THRIVE Freeze Dried products are flash frozen, sublimated, and packaged to remove as much water as possible, all without sacrificing quality or nutritional value. These foods last longer and are healthier than foods that are simply dehydrated. Though both processes remove significant amounts of water from perishable food items, the speed of freeze drying locks in existing tastes and nutrients that would be lost during dehydration. Additionally, since freeze drying removes a greater percentage of water than dehydration, the shelf life of freeze dried products increases by several years.

Shelf Reliance Background“I’m impressed! Let me tell you a little bit about Shelf Reliance. Shelf Reliance started nearly 5 years ago. Their first products were the Food Rotating Shelves. You may have seen them in Costco, Wal-Mart or other stores. The idea was that too many people were having a hard time organizing their food, and often times it would go bad because you weren’t eating the foods you bought first. This was wildly successful! People were now able to better store the food that they normally eat.

After a few years, SR felt like there really wasn’t any company out there that was developing a food storage line that people could really use in their everyday living. SR developed THRIVE foods. You will have a chance today to see how they accomplished that objective. Shelf Reliance has become the premier food storage company! They have made it possible to store the food you eat, and eat the food you store!”

THRIVE – Lifestyle“How many of you have food storage? How does it taste? How often do you use it? The way many people think of food storage is: old, stale, hardly palatable, hide away, and hope you never have to use it. I am asking you tonight to change the way you think about food storage: THRIVE tastes good, it is high quality, and you can use it every day. You will see that it is no longer a daunting task to build your food storage—Shelf Reliance makes it easy. My goal is to help you realize by the end of evening how easy Shelf Reliance has made it to build, rotate, manage, and use your food storage on a daily basis within your current budget.”

THRIVE Q - Give teaser“Shelf Reliance has made it easy to build and use your food storage through and exciting and proprietary program called the THRIVE Q. The information you provided is all we need to make a customized plan to fit your families budget and caloric needs.”

Demonstration & Tasting (30 minutes)

Gather “Let’s gather around the kitchen and try some of the food. Shelf Reliance has figured out how to get food storage out of the basement and into the kitchen.”

THRIVE demo Consultant gets host and guests involved in helping prepare 1-2 THRIVE recipes to demonstrate how easy it is to cook with THRIVE. During this time, consultant gets guests excited about THRIVE and Shelf Reliance.

Talking Points

Reasons – “What are some reasons we need food storage? I think the main reason is for the peace of mind that you will be able to feed your family in times of disaster or hardship. You have health and life insurance, you should also have food insurance.”

Personal Experience – “When I started my food storage, I felt____ When I got my food storage to ___ months, I felt____ I know someone that went through a hardship and had food storage. They were able to____.

Why Shelf Reliance is different – “Shelf Reliance is different because we offer products you can use every day. The taste and quality of THRIVE is second to none. In addition, SR cares about what food we provide for your family, which is why we build a customized plan specific to your family’s caloric needs. SR has also developed excellent products that rotate your food storage for you. In short, SR has simplified food storage.”

THRIVE uses –“Many people mix THRIVE ingredients with other ingredients to prepare meals. Many use the eggs and milk because it doesn’t go bad. “How many eggs do you go through in a week/month? What if I told you I could give you 236 eggs that don’t go bad, are less messy, easier to cook with, won’t give you salmonella, and taste as good or better in baking? How many have ran out of milk before? Never again. Great for baking, cereal, drinking straight.”

Simple –“As you can see as I prepare these dishes, that THRIVE is very easy to cook with.”

THRIVE can features – pass around cans – look, feel.

“Our cans are based on a trusted model–each THRIVE color 1. corresponds to a category in the food pyramid.”

“There is a recipe on each can. In addition, we have 2. hundreds of THRIVE recipes online. (new recipe site launching early 2010).”

“A peephole on each can allows you to view a picture of the 3. actual product insice the can.”

“Product name – oriented for use in Food Rotation System to 4. make it easy to read.”

“You can see that the Freeze dried labels are a bit different – 5. there is a banner on top that represents Freeze Dried.”“The can size is #10. Smaller cans will be available in 2010 6. for home parties. (easier to put in pantry) Cans last much longer than bags or buckets.”

“Our cans have double coated lining to help preserve taste 7. and shelf life.”

“SR manufactures our own products on site.” 8.

Storage Quantity—“How much do you need? Our online planner will help you know.”

Shelf life – “The shelf life depends on the product. You can go online and see what each individual products optimum shelf life is. It ranges from 2-30+ years. The average is 20-30 years. The nutritional value is best during the first 7 years. From that point, it slowly decreases in value over the next 15-20 years.”

Freeze dried vs. dehydrated—what’s the difference?

“Dehydrated food is where heat or air takes out the water and the •shape changes. (raisins)

“Freeze Dried food is where a machine drops the temperature to •between -50 degrees C and -80 degrees C. This is followed by a drop in air pressure. This transition from the solid to gas phase with no intermediate liquid stage is called sublimation. The food keeps it’s shape. FD has a longer shelf life than dehydrated food and maintains better taste quality.”

“FD makes great snacks for kids, some kids think mangos are •lucky charms. It is great for baby food.”

TVP vs. FD meats –“TVP stands for textured vegetable protein. It is what is used for the meat at some fast food restaurants. It has a shorter shelf life than freeze dried meat. Many people mix TVP’s with the meat you buy at the store and save a lot of money! TVP is vegan- and vegetarian-safe. It’s a great source of protein and it’s healthier for a low-fat diet.”

Optimal storage conditions –“The optimal food storage conditions are constant temperature below 70°F with low light.”

Safety –“Our products are FDA & HACCP certified. We go through rigorous measures for high standards of safety. We have samples tested at a scientific lab on a monthly basis.”

Food quality –“Our product has premium quality. We are relentless in finding the best food sources in the country. Most of our foods contain no additives or preservatives in order to maintain excellent taste quality and freshness.”

Professional chefs –“We have professional chefs that develop recipes using exclusively THRIVE ingredients. One of them, Kelsey Nixon, is featured on the Food Network. You should go online and check out some of our recipe videos.”

Food quality specialists –“We have people test, sample, and approve all of our foods. Any new food we bring on has been scrutinized and tested—we won’t sell it unless we feel it’s superior.”

Grocery budget –“This really becomes more of a grocery item than a food storage item. I just reallocate a small portion of my monthly grocery budget to THRIVE foods.”

FRS shelving – “SR has made it easy to organize and rotate your food! You never have to worry about your food going bad again!”

Charity–“A percentage of all sales go back to charity.”

Feedback – Get feedback from guests, interaction, let them talk about the food they’re eating.

Tasting – Everyone tastes food during and after preparation. Consultant gets feedback from guests. “So, did it past the test?”

Transition (5 minutes)

Consultant gathers guests in a comfortable setting to talk about ordering, hosting a party, and consulting.

“OK, now that we’re all a little more familiar with THRIVE, I’m going to take the next 15-30 minutes to talk about the exciting stuff!

1st – Orders Talk about how easy it is to order THRIVE and incorporate it into your current budget and the great price you get when you place an order tonight.

2nd – Opportunities Talk with you about an easy way to earn products for free and earn many other great perks by hosting your own party or even becoming a consultant like me.

Orders (20 minutes)

Best part Consultant talks about best part of the party—pricing, THRIVE Q.

“How many have ever felt the NEED for Food Storage but just couldn’t afford it?”

THRIVE Q Consultant explains Q, how it works. Show the guests the host’s planner.

“I am now going to show you how the Planner, Thrive Q and Shelf Reliance answers the 4 basic food storage concerns.”

Concern 1 – What food do I buy?“SR has developed a Proprietary planning calculator called the ‘Planner’ There is no more guessing what you need or how much you need, it does all the work for you! It will customiz to your specific family’s caloric needs. It is based off of the age and gender of each family member, and the number of months of food storage you’d like to build. This is the information you filled out for me at the beginning. We care that you get exactly what your family needs. It is also customizable if you’d like to adjust the products that are recommended.”

“Let’s see what the host’s plan looks like.” (This should have been set up before the party.)

“This is 100% free to set up!”

Concern 2 – How can I afford it?“With Shelf Reliance, you get premium food storage in an economical way. You just decide how much of your monthly grocery budget you will reallocate to THRIVE food. You simply pay for the products in your plan as you go. It is not a long-term contract like other companies. You can pause shipments if you want after the first 3 months.”

“Shelf Reliance has made it so easy with the Thrive Q! It is like Netflix with food storage. It is easy to manage, edit shipments, or add/delete items. It just shows right up on your doorstep monthly on the date you select. You never have to worry about food storage again!”

“With the information you have provided for me, I can set up your plan today for free. If you give me your cc information, I can get the Q started for you, and you can go in any time and adjust the products that you want that particular month.”

*WHITE BOARD PRESENTATION Using a small white board and magnets from a Food Rotation System, show visually how the Q works by moving product magnets from the plan to the Q. Talk to upline for details.

Page 4: Home Parties Presentation Guide - Thrive Life · 2016-03-09 · Presentation Consultant will explain the benefits of being a party host or a consultant for Shelf Reliance. Post Party

Concern 3 – How do I use the food?“After the demonstration today, you can see that Shelf Reliance has made it easy to use THRIVE in your everyday life. There are more recipes than you can imagine on the Shelf Reliance website, specifically made for THRIVE foods. You have also tasted the high quality, which I am confident your family will love as well!”

“We’re not saying stop shopping at your local grocery store, we’re saying to reallocate some of that grocery budget from the ordinary canned food to these great, nutritional THRIVE foods, and incorporate them into your everyday cooking.”

Concern 4 – How do I make sure it doesn’t go bad?“You can now see how you can use THRIVE in your meals regularly. I recommend using THRIVE ingredients at least once a week. If you are like me, you sometimes throw away meat, fruits, vegetables and grain products.”

“You can’t go wrong with a SR Food Rotation System, especially at party pricing! They’re easy to use, fully adjustable to any can size, very durable, and keep your food properly rotated so it doesn’t go bad. They work for both THRIVE cans and ordinary cans.”

Close Consultant makes transition to close the sale with guests.

“I have shown you why so many people are using Shelf Reliance products to fulfill their food storage needs.”

“Order tonight and get the Party Discount! Plus always get the lowest price forever as a Party Customer.”

There are two ways you can buy these great SR products tonight at the party price:

1. “Sign up for the Q at the budget amount you decide.”

“I’m on it and I highly recommend it. The average person on the Q reallocates $130 towards THRIVE food. However, I would highly recommend to do $200 so that you can get free shipping each month. Factoring shipping gives that extra product another 30% off.”

2. “Purchase packs or single items, including rotation systems, listed on the price list. These range from around $10 up.”

“By purchasing tonight, your host will be able to get free and discounted items as well! If you would like to be a host to get free items, you should still order today. Our double dip program allows you to receive credit at your own party for the products you purchase at this party.”

“If you not only want great discounts, but think you’d like to make money by introducing Shelf Reliance to others, you can take this pamphlet and talk to me about the benefits of being a consultant. It is great pay with flexible hours. You can earn money while helping others!”

“Make sure to fill out your order forms before you leave and give them to the host or myself. Mark if you have interest in hosting a party or being a consultant on that form.”

Place orders Consultant helps guests to finish filling out order forms.

“You will see that the prices are on the price list. You can see what a great discount it is to purchase tonight.”

“If you decide to do the Q, which I strongly recommend, you will get an email in the next 3-5 business days giving instructions to login to your own account and customize your Q the way you want. Just let me

know what you want on your first month and I will make sure it is set up properly.”

“The products will typically be shipped to door 2-3 business days from your requested ship date.”

Note – Many people will want to talk to spouse before purchasing. For those that cannot order that evening for one reason or another:“If you are unable to purchase this evening, SR gives us authorization to give the party pricing as long as I get your paperwork and signature today. Please fill out what you think you may want and you can confirm your order with me within the next 2 days.”

One on One DiscussionsConsultant offers choices like:“Which do you need more of? Fruits or Veggies?” “How would you like to pay for it—VISA/MC/AMEX/Discover?” “Do you think you’d like to host a party yourself to get free and discounted product?”
