Reading Challenge
▪ While you are at home, make a list of all the story books or comics / magazines that you read with a grown up.
▪ Bring the list back to school when we return to earn a certificate!
Design and make your own Superhero Mask.What materials can you use? You can use the template on the next page as a guide if you wish.
Make a bottle jet pack to help your superhero fly!
Design a superhero city using newspaper. Can you also make a superhero puppet to fly through your city?

This week’s Creative, Physical and Understand the
World activities
Superhero story telling
Get children to use the storyboard (on next
slide) to tell their own superhero story. They
need to choose one from each line and
encourage them to use full sentences when
verbally retelling their story.
Can you draw a picture to match you story?
Superhero Measuring Mission
You need to use your super measuring hands
for this mission!!
You need to measure 5 objects to pass the
mission. Use your hands to see how long these
objects are and write them down.
Items: Table, Radiator, Your bed, Your biggest
teddy, Sofa.
When your mission is complete:
Which was the longest? Which was the
shortest?
Count and order the Superheros
Using the work sheet on the following slide,
cut out the superheros, count how many there
are and stick them back in the correct order.
Superhero Towers (2 players)
You will need some multilink cubes, lego or
building blocks.
Write numbers 1-10 on cards, each choose a
card. Make your tower using that number of
blocks. Who has the tallest tower? Who has
the shortest tower? Why?
My Superhero
Draw yourself as a superhero with your own superpower.
Underneath can you use your phonics to write what superpower you’ve chosen - fly, fire, invisible, ice, strength etc.Challenge: Write a sentence ‘I can …..’
