Since its inception, HITS core competence is within LNG Transportation sector, with extensive experience of the ships operation and certified crew fulfilling both domestic and international

shipping standards. Such combination rendered HITS a leading player in this business segment.

LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG)TRANSPORTATION

LNG transportation serves PT Pertamina (Persero) using Ekaputra 1 vessel with a length of 290 meters and a size of 137.000 m3 or CBM, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. in Nagasaki, Japan and had been chartered since January 10, 1990. Now, Ekaputra 1 LNG ship is transporting LNG from Bontang, East Kalimantan to Japan to fulfill the contract of Western Buyer Extension until 2020.

HITS has an LNG transport service namely Triputra with capacity of 20.000 DWT with a length of 150 meters that serves PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pelindo Energy Listrik (PT PEL)—a subsidiary of Pelindo III—to transport gas for mini power plant in Bali with capacity of 250 MW. The contract for 7 years to transport gas from Bontang to Bali, which begins in 2016.

PETROCHEMICALTRANSPORTATION

Another business segment of HITS is Petrochemical Transportation. The development of the petrochemical industry in Indonesia creates increasing potential demand for the transport of petrochemical across the sea. This highly potential business niche prompts HITS to continue expanding their armada in this sector.

Chemicals and petrochemicals transportation services with a captive market for the transport of chemicals and methanol. Revenues are obtained from PT Pertamina (Persero) for the distribution of LPG and PT Humpuss for transportation of methanol from PT Kaltim Methanol Indonesia’s cargo. Petrochemical transportation fleet includes Griya Melayu and Griya Borneo.

Oil transportation business sector serves the transport of premium fuel, kerosene, diesel, pertamax, naphtha and crude oil.

Revenues derived from distribution of oil fuel (BBM) and crude oil by PT Pertamina (Persero) to all corners of Indonesia. Oil transportation fleet consists of Griya Ambon, Sapta Samudra, Catur Samudra, Griya Flores, Griya Dayak, Griya Cirebon and Griya Jawa.

OFFSHORE SUPPORTVESSEL

This business segment was established by HITS to support the FSRU operations currently promoted by the Government, where harbor tugs and mooring boats serve mainly to assist the berthing and unberthing of LNG transport vessel to and from the FSRU.

Ship guiding and logistic transport services for the operations of LNG regasification terminal (Floating Storage Unit Regassification/FSRU) owned by PT Nusantara Regas in the Thousand Islands. The contract with PT Nusantara Regas extends until 2022.

The Ship Management under HITS Group are running to ensure each vessel is operate and manage properly in accordance with Regulations, industry requirement such as SIRE, TMSA, and ISO standard for Quality (ISO 9001),

Initially this business segment was created to transport coal, but in line with the evolving Mining Regulations No. 4 year 2009, HITS changed the function of this business segment in addition to bulk transport also harbor tug. This segment also serves the national seaport agency business, ship management services, including vessel supply and refueling service. The shipping agency bureaus established by HITS are located in Jakarta (Tanjung Priok), Bontang, and Gresik.

DREDGING

This newly launched business segments by HITSsupports an infrastructure program which is

currently rolled out by the Government.


In the field of crew manning, HITS runs construction and management of competent, well-trained and highly motivated crew members through the development of recruitment standards based on the 1995 International Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Convention and the Amandement by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). This business segment is also being developed for seafarers training services, especially for certified oil and gas tankers and management quality standards of TUV Rheinland.

HUMAN CAPITALAND DEVELOPMENT

Crew manning business development focuses on the maintenance of the existing principals and the procurement of new one through local and global market penetration. It is also supported by the development of integrated data base system.

Today, the crew training institute managed by the Humpuss Trilogy Maritime Training Center (HTMTC) in collaboration with Trilogi University, which specializes in training crews for oil and gas tankers by 11 training programs.

In addition, cooperation with STC Group-Rotterdam (foreign educational institutions) for certified degree training programs and harbour management training will conducted in accordance with the specified targets.


HITS CSR program focuses on some key areas, namely the Environment, Labor, Health and Safety, and Social Community Development.

Social empowerment of communities in the form of direct aid (construction of public infrastructure and facilities, religious facilities, nature conservation, improvement of public health, education and training as well as other special assistance based on public needs.

The community development program focuses on the internal main line of HITS. Since 2008, HITS has been providing scholarships for the children of HITS Group’s employees which received educational assistance as well as school supplies. HITS also invites orphaned children to play together and join the children of employees in Jakarta in conjunction with the scholarship award.

Handling of occupational health and safety is performed jointly by HITS management and employees , both at headquarters and on board the vessels, referred to as HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), which aims to identify any OHS hazard in the work area and reduce the level of risk (eliminating or minimizing harm) to prevent accidents.

To manage safety of crew and vessel to be better, namely through mandatory for the implementation of Plan Management System (PMS) and Safety Management System (SMS).

HITS commitment to protecting the environment, especially regarding vessels, is guided by the motto Four Zero, which emphasizes Zero Marine Casualties, Zero Spill to Sea, Zero Injuries and Zero Cargo Accidents. The crew must be able to improve their methods of identifying and evaluating as well as controlling marine pollution hazards and occupational health and safety issues.
