STEWARDSHIP OF GIVING The term stewardship might sound overwhelming or confusing, but it’s really not! Stewardship is as simple as
spreading the Good News of God to others, lending a helping hand, saving a few extra dollars each week to help the church - or as involved as teaching a class, heading a committee, using your talents and donating your time.
GIFTS OF TREASURE
Stewardship is a way of life - give some of time, talents or treasures today!

In the next few weeks many of our parishioners will receive a “Renewing the Mission” brochure, which provides information on what our parishes are currently doing to support our mission, “to seek and show the face of Jesus Christ,” and more importantly what we could do to make that mission succeed in our community.
Your commitment to our parishes is vital in keeping the Catholic faith alive and thriving for our next generation. Please spend some time in prayer and discussion with your family on how you might be able to help our parish Renew
the Mission! Commitment Sunday will be on October 19-20 at Saint Mary’s; November 2-3 at Saints Peter and Paul; and November 16-17 at Holy Angels.

Associate Pastors in the third year of their assignment undergo a Ministry Review which provides the priest and the Diocese with helpful feedback regarding the priest’s current and future assignments. A group of 50 parishioners, randomly selected by the diocese from the list of registered parishioners, will be sent instructions in the mail on how to complete a review of Fr. Jeff’s ministry in Sandusky. If you happen to receive one of these invitations, please complete the review promptly. All responses will be compiled and shared anonymously with Diocesan personnel and Fr. Jeff. Thank you for your cooperation! Pray for priests!

Please consider a donation to Perpetuate The Gift Appeal being held the weekend of October 12-13. Your gift benefits our retired diocesan priests and your Parish. Once a priest retires he is responsible for his own personal expenses: medical, housing, car, clothing and food. All funds contributed between October 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019 help reduce the amount the parish contributes to the fund. A gift of cash or check can be sent to Perpetuate The Gift, PO Box 954, Toledo, OH 43697 or placed in the parish collection. A gift may also be made online at www.toledodiocese.org. If you would like to give a gift of stock or designate a bequest to help
our retired priests, please contact Rene Schmidbauer at 419-214-4942 or email at [email protected].

Dear Parishioners,
I would like to talk to you about the Sandusky Knights of Columbus Council #546, which services The Catholic Parishes of Sandusky.
The Knights of Columbus Council #546 was chartered on November 12, 1900 in Sandusky, Ohio and has been serving this community as a Catholic Fraternal Charitable organization since that time. November 12, 2020 we will be celebrating our 120th Anniversary.
The Knights of Columbus offers men a place to lead their families and communities in faith and service and put their Faith into Action. Knights of Columbus members have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their parishes and families.
Here are a few examples of what we do. In the past few years we have been trying to do a project in each Parish. One project was to refurbish the Guardian Angel in the front of Holy Angels. The following year one of our members made the Cross and the Knights purchased the Corpus of Christ for the Crucifix in the St. Mary’s Commons. We ran a fish fry to help Sts. Peter and Paul install a security system. Our Council has worked with the Catholic Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts which includes the Tri-Parishes.
We give scholarships to our children entering St. Mary’s High School. We also have a scholarship program that is open to our High School graduates in our local area to help them with college.
We support our local seminarian Michael Bialorucki, along with support to Campus Ministry.
A Knights of Columbus council can work wonders. In fact, with its many programs, it can help change the community in which you live.
We are involved in a variety of local, national and international projects.
Coats for Kids Take a Veteran to Mass Special Olympics Right to Life Catholic Charities Disaster Relief Blood Drives the Gathering Ultrasound Initiative Annunciation Radio the Edge Program Habitat for Humanity The Global Wheelchair Mission Project Life Saver Community Supper
Our Council has 282 dues paying members and the average age of those members is 67.9 years old. As in any club or service organization, it needs to stay young. If you are a Catholic man, at least 18 years old, you can join the Knights of Columbus. You can be as active as you want. There are always opportunities at any level of interest you have. I know there are men wanting to give back to their churches and communities and we can provide the way for you to do that.
Please consider joining our Council.
I would like to thank all of you for the financial support you give us when a member offers you an opportunity to buy a reverse raffle or when you come to our different fundraisers. As you can see, we have quite a bit going on. By supporting the Knights of Columbus, you help us, so we can continue helping our community.
Thank you,
Mark Farrar Grand Knight Sandusky Council #546
