Trust Gods mercy, he does forgive you if you make a sincere act of contrition in order to continue to receive the Holy Eucharist. PARISH OUTREACH: (St. Marys April 19 th bulletin) To one extent or another, parishioners restricting their interactions among the community to essential errands, have nonetheless, contacted family, neighbors, friends and acquaintances just to help pass the time of day. Could we not as a Catholic Community give a bit more strategy and organization so as to include neighbors or parishioners who might appreciate a Hi neighbor! Some folks might not have family close by. Some might be a bit bashful or not well-skilled for starting a conversation. Nonetheless, due to physical challenges, emotional challenges, they too might be in need of benefitting from an errand groceries, conversation, changing a light bulb-to whatever extent the Holy Spirit prompts your heart to reach out to an acquaintance, consider following that Divine lead! CCD: With the closing of public-school campuses comes then the early release of our efforts to teach. We do pray that our kids learning at home are excelling academically as well as spiritually by saying their prays and practicing good Christian virtues with their brothers and sisters. Fr. Dennis misses all your smiling faces and the high-fives at the end of mass. Keep the faith, one day this will be restored. In the meantime, if you would like the Childrens Bulletins mailed to your inbox, please submit your email address to the office. MOTHER’S DAY: We may not be able to gather for mass and distribute flowers, but the Altar Rosary Society is looking at alternatives for what would be appropriate for recognizing our mothers this Mothers Day. KOSCIUSKO PICNIC: Some people have expressed concern about the impact of the current crisis on the Kosciusko picnic the first weekend in August. Many parishes have had to cancel their fundraisers because of the social distancing and COVID restrictions. Some parishes are getting creative in response with having a drive-thru meal or raffle. It would take a lot of creativity, energy and dedication to make it happen. Some parishes have even postponed until the fall, like many other organizations. We need to strategize and keep it a priority. You may want to discuss it among yourselves, when making your phone calls or emails, to share possibilities in the unfortunate event that restrictions would continue through summer and force a cancellation. We simply cannot ignore this. It is a reality and we cannot ignore the restrictions put into place for the common good of all. If we do not have a picnic, then we will need to have a more disciplined budget. POINT OF INTEREST: Since the week of Easter, to accommodate as many as possible to receive communion, Father has converted St. Marys 6:30 am morning Mass to Communion Service with the Deacon, and then offering Mass there at noon. Father Dennis has been residing in St. Anns Rectory to be available for 7:45 am Mass, since that is now his first Mass of the day. Some have expressed concern on if our Rectory is being used or left vacant. Father is now here at St. Anns Rectory in Kosciusko Monday thru Wednesday evenings, and Saturday evenings, to be available for the Sunday morning mass. So, the Rectory is being lived in once again, and Father expresses they are very nice accommodations. PARENTS OF GRADUATING SENIORS: With all the disruptions in our lives lately, we recognize that our graduating seniors have had a very significant rite of passage completely obliterated. Graduation plans, ceremonies and celebrations are not going to be what we are traditionally used to, or what we want them to be, and it is unfortunately out of our control. In an effort to ease some of the frustration with the current situation, St. Anns invites and welcomes parents to write a short letter to recognize and honor St. Anns 2020 Graduating Seniors, along with a photo. We will be happy and honored to publish a bulletin recognizing them, with your permission, to share with all our parishioners the joy and pride you have for your graduating senior. Please have submissions in to the office by Wednesday, May 20 th .
