Over the last three weekends we have featured information about the Holy Innocents Music Ministry. The musicians, Adult, Teen and Junior choirs that comprise our ministry will be returning to regular practices this week. Our liturgies will once again feel the presence of our choirs and work will begin on the music for our Advent presentation of Lessons and Carols and our Christmas liturgies. The Music Ministry of Holy Innocents welcomes all musicians and singers who are interested in sharing their talents to become a part of this special group. Need heavenly inspiration? Psalm 98:4-6 “Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth; break into song; sing praise. Sing praise to the Lord with lyre, with the lyre and melodious song. With trumpets and the sound of the horn shout with joy to the King, the Lord.” Psalm 100:1-2 “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing.” Our rehearsals are held on Wednesdays in the Music Room. Adult Choir: rehearsals began on Wednesday, September 23rd from 7:15 – 8:15 PM, but it’s not too late to join! Junior Choir: (ages 1

st to 6

th grade) - rehearsals begin

on Wednesday, September 30th from 6:00 to 6:30 PM. Teen Choir: (ages 7

th to 12

th grade) - rehearsals begin

on Saturday, September 26th from 4:30 to 5:00 PM. Musicians rehearse on Wednesdays either at 6:30 PM, after the Junior Choir, or at 8:15 PM, after the Adult Choir. Not sure? Speak to any of the current music ministers after Mass, email Joe at [email protected], or just come to a rehearsal and check it out.

All are welcome!

He claims the wealth they have dishonestly collected will be a testimony against them on judgment day. Gospel: Mark 9:38-43, 45, 47-48 Jesus explains to his disciples that it is acceptable for a person who is not part of their group to speak in his name, but he does warn them that anyone who tries to lead his followers astray will be severely punished.
