We are people seeking to deepen our faith, and so we pray for one
another.
• For the church: that it may be an authentic faith
community in service to others … we pray,
• For those who have lost faith in diplomacy and
negotiation as a pathway to peace, and for peacemakers
throughout the world … we pray,
• For those who have lost faith in institutions and society’s
systems; and for institutions that truly serve the needs of
all … we pray,
• For outcomes in our coming national election that will
promote and serve the common good and unify our
divided country … we pray,
• For those who struggle with faith or have placed their
faith in what is unreliable … we pray,
• For those who support the weary, the discouraged, the
doubtful: for counselors, confessors, social workers and
spiritual guides … we pray,
• For all who are in any kind of need and for those we have
committed to serve … we pray,
• For the sick, the dying and those who grieve; and for those
who have died; we pray,
PRAYER: God, who speaks to our hearts, hear us when we pray for
sustained or deepened faith. Help us to remember that even the
apostles needed assurance, and give us the strength to serve and
encourage others when our own faith is weak. We pray in the name
of Jesus, who showed us the power of faith. Amen.

<< Religion is not propagated nor conserved by means of arms. Neither Jesus Christ, nor his apostles, nor the Church has to employ violence to accomplish their ends. The weap-ons of the Church are to convince and persuade by means of the Word. >>
WHAT IS HOLY HOUR? A devotional exercise helping us to keep the Eucharist at the center of our lives. A Holy Hour consists of mental and vocal prayer with expo-sition of the Blessed Sacrament. It draws inspiration from Christ’s words to the Apostles in Gethsemane “Can you watch not one hour with me?” and was taught by Our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1673. A Holy Hour unites us with the Blessed Sacrament present in all tabernacles of the world. It unites our sufferings with Jesus crucified, al-lowing us to atone for the sins of humanity.

HOLY FAMILY PARISH 27th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
27º Dom Tempo Comum (Ano C): Habacuc 1,2- 3; 2,2-4; Salmo 95(94); 2Timóteo 1,6-8.13-14; Lucas 17,5-10
(Extraído do Dia do Senhor)
