    ~Rick Warren

Christ Is the Visible Image of the Invisible God

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.” Colossians 1:15

Who was the little baby in the manger we celebrate at Christmas?

Colossians 1:15 says, “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God”

You’ve heard the phrase that, if you want something done right, do it yourself. God wanted to do the job of saving you right, so he came to earth himself. He didn’t come as an avatar, an angel, or a prophet. God came as a person. He became the baby and then the man Jesus Christ.

People all around the world celebrate the little baby in the manger be-cause that child is God, come to live with his people.

If you want to know what God is like, take a look at Jesus.

But Jesus didn’t come simply to live. He came to die for your sins so that you can spend eternity with God.

    Why was this necessary?

Because even though God is a God of love, he is also a God of jus-tice. Justice demands wrongs be righted. It demands that the debt of sin be paid for.

And, heaven is perfect, but we’re not. Because of that, we need a Savior. God gets imperfect people into heaven through grace.

The Good News of Christmas is that God gave the gift of His Son to pay for everything you have ever done wrong and offer you the grace to enter heaven.

The Bible says, “When [Jesus] served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good—not only ours, but the whole world’s” (1 John 2:1 The Message).

    My Jesus

I believe that You are present in the

    Most Holy Sacrament

I love You above all things and I

desire to receive You into my soul

Since I cannot at this moment

    receive You sacramentally,

Come at least spiritually into my

    heart.

I embrace You as if You were

    already there and unite myself

    wholly to You

Never permit me to be separated

    from You.

We pray in hope that God’s healing power may touch all our parishioners

    who are sick.

10 words that will bring Christmas joy to

your family 1. Generosity –Teach your family to believe in generosity. If everyone

were open to giving rather than receiving, there would be much more harmony in our lives.

    2. Peace - Pour every family decision through the filter of :Will this bring peace to my family?”

    3. Others First - Put others ahead of yourself as a matter of routine. Imagine a world where there are no egotists!

    4. Hope - Find family projects that bring hope to someone else not only this Christmas, but throughout the whole year.

    5. Faith - Don’t miss the central truth about Christmas. Focus on the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. Work on believing in the Baby Jesus and what He stands for.

    6. Story - Christmas is the lynchpin of the greatest story ever told. Share the story with your family - don’t miss the most important part of Christmas.

    7. Joy - Think about joy as a gift you can share with others. Remember those who don’t know freedom, and those who live in fear, and share your joy with them. Share this joy by opening your home to those who are sad. Embrace those who need it and make a difference in their lives.

    8. Celebration - Christmas is a celebration. Don’t let the “busyness” spoil the fun.

    9. Love - Love is the only gift that your family really needs from you. Don’t make the mistake of showing your love by presents that you give.

    10. Promise - Make sure that your family knows that they can count on you - be there for them and support them in their doubts, their needs, their dreams. This is one of the building blocks of the closeness that we all crave.

Sunday after the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ

On this Sunday our Holy Church commemorates three people who were alone to Our Lord Jesus Christ. First of all, His ancestor, the holy King and Prophet David, who foresaw the Coming of Christ in his Psalms. Secondly, we recall the Righteous Joseph the betrothed, who protected the Mother of God and her Child before, during and after His birth. Thirdly, we remember the son of Joseph, James, who accompanied the Mother of God, Christ and Joseph on the flight into Egypt, and later became one of the Apostles and

indeed was martyred as James the Righteous, the first Bishop of Jerusalem. It is interesting to recall to Non-Believers the words of the Gospel regarding this Flight into Egypt, and how Joseph was commanded to “take the young child and his mother into Egypt”. We note how the Scriptures say that all this was to fulfill the words of the Scriptures: “Out of Egypt have I called my son”, and not, “ out of Egypt have I called Joseph’s son”. As we see in Holy Scriptures Joseph is bewildered both by the message of the Angel and by what is happening; bewildered - at time in wonder, and at time in doubt. Isn’t this image of many of us? But how did he face his doubt and still remain in wonder? Because he believed; because he accepted the fact that there are many things which cannot be understood with the intellect, but can be perceived, which can be experienced. And he did, indeed, experienced what was going on. He saw the Virgin birth, he saw the presence of the God who has become man. And what is our way, how can we find our way towards God? On this Sunday let us think of Righteous Joseph between wonder and doubt; and when we are in the same position, let us not only concentrate on our doubt, but look with wonder at the impossible, unthinkable that is God’s way in our midst,

Because the changes are random, they may make little to no difference in a person’s health

    These changes happen randomly

    and by accident.

Coronaviruses have all their genetic material in something called RNA (ribonucleic acid). RNA has some similarities to DNA, but they aren’t the same.

You might have heard that there’s more than one strain of

It turned out that the coronavi-ruses found in humans weren’t

    all the same.

There were two types, which the researchers called “L” and “S.” They’re very similar, with
