Fr Phil will be officially installed as Pastor of Holy Cross on September 27th at the 11:00 am Mass. Bishop Folda will be presiding at this Mass.
Sunday Evening Mass On Sunday, September 20th the Sunday evening 6:00 pm Mass will resume (this stopped due to COVID). We will need volunteers for the ministries for that Mass, so if you attend please prayerfully consider helping out.
Allow me to introduce myself; I am Darryl Lutovsky and I will be coordinating RCIA classes this year. My wife Rene’ and I have been members of Holy Cross since 2001.
For the past 14 years, I have been involved with the Holy Cross RCIA program as a team member, sponsor, and now the group leader.
This is an invitation to become part of the RCIA Team or to become a candidate working towards full initiation in the Rites of the Catholic Church next Easter. If you are interested in joining the Catholic Church, an adult that never received the sacrament of confirmation, or are interested in learning more about the teachings of the faith, please call the parish office at 282-7217.
Classes will begin on September 20th in the Multipurpose Room. We will be using, “We Believe”, a survey of the Catholic Faith by Father Lukefahr as the main reference book, along with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Holy Bible.
I will be in contact with everyone interested in the RCIA Program with more details or to answer questions.
Thank you, Darryl Lutovsky.
Golden Cross Card/Game Club We are going to wait to start up the Golden Cross Card/Game Club for a while. Hoping to get things going again in November. Watch the bulletins & newsletters for updates.

MUSICIANS NEEDED! We really need Accompanists & Cantors!
What do those roles do??
Accompanist – The accompanist is responsible to provide accompaniment for the hymns and acclamations during the Mass. Accompaniment skills are required, and knowledge of the Catholic Mass is preferred. This is a paid position. Cantor (Song Leader) - The Cantor is both a singer and leader of the congregational song. The Cantor has the responsibility for any songs or hymns that require solo passages, leading
the assembly, and inviting the assembly in hymns and acclamations used throughout Mass. The requirements to be a successful Cantor include a strong singing voice, ability to encourage the people to join in the songs and dedication to the ministry of music. Being a Cantor does not require being in any of the choirs. This ministry is open to high school/adult singers. Contact Penne in the church office at 282-7217 if interested.
“Holiday Collections” Craft/Vendor Show The region's largest church-held craft event with over 75 participants. Holy Cross Catholic Church
will again be hosting our 11th annual Holiday Craft/Vendor Show at Holy Cross Catholic Church
and the Trinity Elementary Gymnasium on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm - If you are a
member of Holy Cross and are an artisan, craftsperson or vendor (sell a product out of your
home or at home parties), please call Geri Harbeke at 277-9681 as soon as possible. ALL Holy
Cross Parishioners get the opportunity to be first in line to sign up for this event (unless we
already have that vendor or that type of craft). This is a growing event and we are in need of
volunteers to help as well as volunteers to provide food and to work in the kitchen. If you can
assist in any way, please contact Geri Harbeke at 277-9681
Please Wear Your Mask at Mass With the announcement of ND Governor Burgum’s “Mask Up ND” campaign, we highly encourage all parishioners to wear a mask when attending Mass for the health and safety of all. We have had some parishioners that come for Mass, but end up leaving because they are uncomfortable with the number of people NOT wearing one. According to the ND Department of Health: “In North Dakota, we prioritize helping our neighbors. That's why it's important to #MaskUpND. Wearing a mask drastically reduces the
chance of spreading COVID-19 to those around you, thus helping keep our citizens safe. It's important to wear a mask even if you don't feel sick because you may be an asymptomatic carrier (someone who has COVID-19 but is not showing symptoms)." In a statement put out on June 12th by Bishop Folda he also says, “Masks are still highly recommended as a measure to protect others" https://fargodiocese.org/documents/2020/6/BishopStatementCOVID6-12-20.pdf
