LOCAL, SPECIAL, TEA.Did you know that America’s largest Belgian settlement was in Door County? Check out the Belgian Heritage
Center in the small town of Brussels, WI to learn more. It’s just North of Luxemburg a bit.
NEXT STOP, BRUSSELS!

BIERIf you’re looking for something a little more shaken or stirred, you’ll certainly find a libation to sip from our seasonally-changing menu of craft cocktails. From classics, to modern twists on old favorites. Take it neat or on the rocks? You’ll love our generous 2.5 oz pours!
COCKTAILSWe admit that finding a good Bloody Mary in Europe is problematic. Luckily, our Wisconsin heritage inspires every one of our bloodies, which are made with our scratch-made mix, house-infused vodka and served with a chaser. Proper.
BLOODY MARYS
Here at Hollander we’re big on brunch, and nothing pairs better with a lazy weekend than our fun friend mimosa. Always bubbly and sweet, she tends to make the conversation flow and keep the laughs coming.
MIMOSASWhile bier highlights the skills of a brewer, the best wines are made by producers who step out of the way and let nature dazzle us with every wine’s unique terroir. White with brunch?Red with dinner? Rosé all day? There’s awine for every moment.
WINEWhat’s a café without coffee? Choose from a variety of drip or espresso drinks, all of which feature our unique Lowlands blend of organic, fair-trade coffee roasted exclusively for us by our good friends at Colectivo Coffee.
COFFEE
Here at Café Hollander, we take liberal inspiration from Dutch Grand Cafés. Their spacious, light-filled spaces—coupled with inviting outdoor spaces—are used as “public living rooms” and are the perfect place to enjoy a snack and a newspaper, or to meet a group of friends over a drink. In our opinion, nothing beats a few hours
spent lounging in a grand café. So, grab a book, order you favorite drink, and watch the world go by.

A LIQUID TOUR of THE LOWLANDS
is a huge part of Lowland European culture.
1.WE DON ’T SERVE P INTS
Every Belgian brewery creates a specific, custom glass for each of their
biers. The shape and size of a glass can drastically alter the appearance, aroma and taste of a bier, which is why we go
through great lengths to import the “proper” glass supplied by the brewers of
the biers we carry. Just check out the racks of glasses behind our bar to see for yourself. Now it’s time to choose a
bier and raise a (proper) glass!
Some of the biers we source are so rare that in some cases, our cafés are the only place in the world that you’ll be able to try one.
Look for these symbols throughout the portfolio.
11.THERE WILL BE FOAM
If you’re not accustomed to Belgian biers, you may be surprised by the amount of
head with which your bier is served. A large portion of the experience of
Belgian biers is olfactory and the flavor of the bier is greatly impacted by what
your nose is doing at the time of quaffing. Please realize this is how the brewer intended the bier to be served and we go through great lengths to
make each pour as proper as possible.
111.POUR S IZES VARY
Many of the specialty biers we carry are well over 10% alcohol and are
therefore poured in smaller quantities than the more sessionable biers you
may be used to. This is why we include pour-sizes on our menus so you can be assured that your pour is intentional. Many of our imported glasses even
feature “pour lines” that indicate where the liquid portion of the bier should be!
It’s as integral as frites, cafés, and bicycles. Here at Café Hollander, we love bier—from sourcing unique biers to perfecting the way each is served in the proper glass. In fact, a member of our Brewminati (our team of bier experts) has even been named an Honorary Knight in Belgian’s Knighthood of the Brewer’s Mashstaff, better
known as the Belgian Brewer’s Guild. Each year, our Brewminati council combs the breweries, monasteries and cobblestone streets of Europe to meet with the monks, brewmasters and families who have made bier their passion for centuries. We hope you enjoy tasting these unique biers as much as we enjoyed discovering them.
