GENERAL INFORMATION

Barcelona, located at the Mediterranean sea in the very north of the Spanish coast, is one of the sixth-most populous urban area in the European Union after Paris, London, the Ruhr, Madrid and Milan.

Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist, economic, trade fair/exhibitions and cultural-sports centres, and its influence in commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities

Barcelona has a Mediterranean climate with mild, humid winters and warm, dry summers.

December, January and February are the coldest months. Large fluctuations in temperature are rare, particularly in the summer months.

The currency in Barcelona is the Euro. It is distributed in both notes and coins. Notes can be found in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500-euro denominations and coins start with the 1-cent piece and end with the 2 euro piece

*Tibidabo Amusement Park : Located on the Tibidabo hill overlooking the entire city of Barcelona, this is an amusement park focused on kids with priceless views
