C.A.R.E. nurtures many happy endings. C.A.R.E. specializes in rescuing and providing medical treatment to sick, injured and abused animals who, otherwise, would have no other chance.

CASTAWAY ANIMAL RESCUE EFFORT(C.A.R.E.)

•Is a volunteer driven event organized by Denney’s Harley-Davidson

•Has raised $250,000 over the last 16 years to help supplement the costs of operating local shelters

•In 2019, loyal motorcyclists helped to raise over $20,000 to benefit the animals housed at the C.A.R.E. shelters

•Riders were treated to a catered lunch, silent auction and raffle with goods donated by local businesses and indi-viduals

•Local businesses and riders have made and continue to make the annual HOGS for DOGS event a true success

•All proceeds raised go directly to C.A.R.E.

The Event

The Charity•State licensed, nonprofit 501(c)(3), no-kill animal shelter

and sanctuary that specializes in rescuing animals in the Ozarks

•Began in 1992 by Melissa Sartin and many dedicated volunteers

•Currently operates adoption centers in Springfield and a sanctuary.

•Combines a spay/neuter program with a high volume adoption program while providing lifetime care for unadoptable pets.

funding CARE’s new low-cost full-service vet clinic.
