8. Under the Licensing Act 2003 and Club Premises Certificate numberBOB/PCLUB/22, Hoddesdon Cricket Club are authorised by the Certificate for theSupply of alcohol.The times the certificate authorises the carrying out of qualifying clubactivities:-Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours. In thiscondition permitted hours means:(a) On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Year's Eve,

11am to 11pm(b) On Sundays, other than Christmas Day or New Year's Eve, 12 noon to

10.30pm(c) On Good Friday, 12 noon to 10.30pm(d) On New Year's Eve, except on a Sunday, 11am to 11pm(e) On New Year's Eve on a Sunday, 12 noon to 10.30pm(f) On New Year's Eve from the end of permitted hours to the start of permitted

hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on thefollowing day, midnight on 31st December)

(g) On Christmas Day, as provided by the rules of the club and notified in writingby the Chairman or Honorary Secretary of the Club to the licensing authorityfor the area in which the premises are.The said hours shall:(i) not exceed six and a half hours;(ii) not begin earlier than 12 noon;(iii) not end later than 10.30pm;(iv) provide for a break of at least 2 hours, including 3pm to 5pm;(v) not extend for more than three and a half hours after 5pm.

The above restrictions do not prohibit the supply to, or consumption by, anyperson of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.

9. The Club shall at all times comply with the Rules and Regulations laid down bythe Lowfield Management Committee and the Club shall not be able to vary,amend, or otherwise alter this Rule, without the consent of the said LowfieldManagement Committee.

10.That no alteration or addition be made to these Rules, except at the AnnualGeneral Meeting, or at an Extraordinary General Meeting called at the request offive or more Club members. Seven clear days’ written notice is to be given withproposed alterations.

11.That in the event of any question arising which is not provided for in theforegoing Rules, the resolution of such question is to be left to the discretion ofthe Club's General Committee and their decision thereon shall be final.

HODDESDON CRICKET CLUB RULES

1. That the Club shall be called "Hoddesdon Cricket Club".

2. That the Club colours shall be Green and White.

3. That the playing rules of the Club shall be left to the discretion of the cricketselection committee.

4. (a) The management of the Club shall be through a General Committee consistingof the Club President, Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer,Fixture Secretary, Membership Secretary, Welfare Officer, Colts Administrator,Captains of the four teams and five other members. The Officers and generalcommittee will be elected at the Annual General Meeting of Club Members.Proposals in respect of the election of Officers, Captains, vice-Captains, etc.,must be communicated to the Honorary Secretary in writing, at least seven daysprior to the Annual General Meeting.

(b) Each season, the General Committee shall invite three under-20 Club membersto form a sub-Committee, to represent the views of that age group.

(c) Each season, the General Committee shall be empowered to co-opt up to amaximum of three additional members.

5. That the Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held by February eachyear, at which an audited statement of accounts is to be presented. ClubMembers under 15 years of age shall not be entitled to vote at GeneralMeetings.

6. (a) Committee meetings are held once a month and at any other time at therequest of three or more members of the Committee.

(b) Anyone wishing to join the Club must be proposed and seconded by twomembers at any General Committee Meeting. Visiting teams shall be madeHonorary Members of the Club for the day. No person shall be admitted to anyprivilege of membership without an interval of two days between nominationand admission to membership. No former member shall be eligible for re-election if any previous subscription remains unpaid and that the expulsion ofa member shall be determined by a two-thirds majority of votes recorded at aGeneral Meeting of the Club called for that purpose.

(c) (c)Players, officials, members, supporters and employees must adhere to theClub code of conduct which prohibits racially abusive comments and actionsagainst fellow players, officials, members, supporters and employees. Failureto comply with this instruction will result in disciplinary action being takenagainst the offender(s) as specified in the Club/League constitutions.

(d) The Club adheres to the ECB’s “Safe Hands” policy in respect of young playersand has formally adopted ECB approved equity and non-discriminatorypolicies, notice of which is displayed prominently on the Club’s premises.

7. (a) Players subscriptions, as detailed hereunder, become payable from 1st January.Any subscriptions remaining unpaid by 1st July will mean immediate exclusionfrom membership of the Club and reinstatement thereto will only be permittedafter a successful re-election application and settlement of all outstandingmonies.

(b) Annual Subscriptions:Playing Members aged over 18 years:One off payment, payable by 30th April each year: £120.00

Or 5 monthly payments of £25.00by standing order commencing February each year.

Or a payment of £140.00per season if neither of the above options have been fulfilled.
