1. Building and Detail PreparationRemove mold flash from Building Walls and •Roofs using a hobby knife and sandpaper (Fig. 1a). Pay special attention to mold flash in notches •on backside of Walls.Wash Walls, Roofs and Details (on sprue) in •warm, soapy water. Rinse and let dry.Remove Details from sprue with a •hobby knife (or flush cutting shears) (Fig. 1b). NOTE: Do not remove placement posts from Details.Sand off any mold flash and parting •lines from Details.

TIP! To make priming and painting easier, tape Details (unexposed side down) to loops of masking tape on a piece of cardboard (Fig. 2a and 2b).

3. Apply Dry Transfer Decals• Cut out desired Decal, leaving a slight
edge (Fig. 3a). Grasp edge of Decal with tweezers and avoid handling the back.
• Positionindesiredlocationandruboverentire Decal area with a burnisher or dull pencil (Fig. 3b).
• Carefully lift away carrier sheet. If Decal did not transfer completely, let carrier sheet fall back in place and burnish again.
• PlacebackingpaperoverDecalandrubagain for maximum adhesion.
NOTE: To be sure signs are not upside down, test fit Decals before applying.

Weathering • Concrete Mortar Wash: Using a paintbrush, dab on small amounts of wash
(formula follows) until desired look is achieved. Sponge off excess.Formula: Mix together 1-part acrylic paint (color suggestion: Floquil® Polly Scale™“Concrete”or“AgedConcrete”),12-partsrubbingalcohol,8-partswaterand 1 drop liquid dish soap.
• Airbrush:Lightlyspraythinnedflatblackpaint(colorsuggestion:Floquil“GrimyBlack”) to areas where natural discoloration can occur (near windows, chimneys, etc.).
• Chalk: Rub a dark color of pastel chalk (color suggestion: gray, black, brown, etc.) on sandpaper to create a chalk dust. Using a paintbrush, dab chalk dust where discoloration can occur.

Stone Bakery #12300Stone Bakery is designed to mirror a late 1800’s Victorian storefront complete with stacked Queen Anne bay windows.
