Existing System:
Existing system refers to the system that is being followedtill now.
Presently all the hospital functionalities are done
manually. That is if a patient want to consult a doctor he
can visit their till his chance called. This is make the
person very difficult.
The main disadvantage is time consuming.
The project maintains two levels of users:-
Administrator Level-Doctor
User Level-Data Entry Operator

Definitions of problems:
1.Lack of immediate retrievals :For ex - To find out about the patientshistory, the user has to go through variousregisters. This results in inconvenience and
wastage of time.2.Lack of immediate information storage :
The information generated by varioustransactions takes time and efforts to be
stored at right place.

3.Lack of prompt updating :
Various changes to information like patient details are
difficult to make as paper work
4.Error prone manual calculation:
For ex: calculation of patients bill based on varioustreatments.
5.Preparation of accurate and prompt reports:
This becomes a difficult task as information is
difficult to collect from various registers.

CONCLUSION:
The Hospital Management System is a great
improvement over the manual system using casefields and paper.
The computerization of the system has speed up
the process. The hospital managing system was thoroughly
checked and tested with dummy data and thus is
found to be very reliable.

FUTUREENHANCEMENTS:
The proposed system is Hospital Management
System. We can enhance this system by includingmore facilities like billing system, inpatient room
allotment for the admitted patients and the stock
details of medicines in the pharmacy. Providing
such features enable the users to include more
comments into the system.
