-Susan C. reported that she received a call from Bud Hartley ourrepresentative on the Solid Waste Commission. We have been asked to lookat the proposed budget as there will likely be an increase in taxes to supportthe services.-Susan C. received a call from CBC requesting a comment on the FinnReport and was asked to speak about the subject on the CBC InformationMorning Program. She said that she was not in a position to discuss it at thistime.-On recent Information Morning programming the amalgamations of theoutside areas of the city was discussed. It will no doubt be something thatthe committee will need to become familiar with to better understand theimplications. Further to this Peter Michaud, Pierre Beaudoin and Susan areto meet with Carl Urquhart our local MLA to see if the Rural Community

process is still a viable option.-It is difficult at the present time for Hanwell to facilitate communitymeetings to inform the public of issues.-Susan received a request from Sergeant Dubois of the RCMP to participate

in a service evaluation of the RCMP services for the Hanwell area. Onepoint mentioned was that lack of visibility of the RCMP in Hanwell stillbeing a concern.
