Hitachi kh 180 GLS Piling rig no. 180-3 - 42303

Large capacity piling rigThe Hitachi 180-3 is a fully hydraulic large capacity piling rig. It has extendable tracks which result in a very stable rig. The leader is constructed as a framed structure and is assembled of several parts. The rig is suitable for driving or vibrating large and long piles either vertically or with forward/backward inclination. The rig is equipped with support legs to the rear enabling piling with a back-ward inclination.

Mounted with a vibrator fixed directly to the leader, the rig is also able to extract sheet piles or steel piles. Please note that the rig is rather heavy with a relatively big ground pressure, hence a stable platform is imperative. Steel plates or mattresses are obligatory.

Mob/demob of the rig equipped with hydraulic hammer takes 3 to 4 hours. A crane is required when mounting/dismounting the counter-weight.

As standard the piling rig is equipped with a hydraulic hammer, type Junttan HHK-9A (9-ton drop weight).

The drop weight is raised to the preset drop height by a hydraulic cylinder and is accelerated down-wards on the cylinder. The drop weight may be accelerated up to 5-8%.

The hydraulic cylinder is situated centrally above the drop weight to which it is also connected.

The kinetic energy of the drop weight just before it hits the pile is displayed on the control panel of the hammer. Furthermore, a driving log can be printed out. The hammer works with a variable blow fre-quency and can employ a single stroke. Further-more, it works with free variable drop height.
