History of SCMSince its inception in 1910, the Service Clubof Milwaukee has been dedicated to providingyoung women with a variety of volunteer andfundraising experiences during their highschool years. Becoming a member of SCMprovides a firsthand introduction tovolunteerism in the community. As the nextgeneration of volunteers, members learn howto effectively contribute to the future of nonprofit organizations by volunteering their time and talents. Another primary focus of our club also has been to provide financial assistance to non-profit agencies in the greater Milwaukee area. Grant requests for these agencies are awarded at our annual Charity Ball, a gala event where our SCM members are celebrated for successfully fulfilling a minimum of 90 hours of volunteer service and $1,000 in fundraising during their membership years.
