Netscape developed SSL (securecommunication using encryption)and JavaScript during this period.

Most of the technologynow gaining attentionwas developed duringthis period.

We actively competedwith IE at this time.

Many folks helped usbut it didnt work well...

We were reborn with a newtechnology called Gecko.

Because we were not sufficientlyprepared, IE was still way ahead of us.

Now it was Firefoxs chance!Ad was in NewYork Times andit was like a festival.

Firefox is evolving and moving forward.Please look forward to our next release.
