Online education

• IE is a pioneer in Europe in the development of online learning for professionals

• In 2002 IE unveiled its online executive education division which develops online training modules that form part of presential and blended programs as well as programs carried out 100% online

• A prime example of this new concept of online training program design is the Global MBA, a program that permits participants to combine their master program with professional responsibilities, and which can be taken over the course of 18 months

Innovation: Research centers

IE runs a number of centers dedicated to research and development in key areas. They include, for example:

• Center for Diversity in Global Management (fosters international integration of diversity as a competitive advantage)

• Euro-Latin America Center (a link between European and Latin American business)

• Center for Negotiation and Mediation

International accreditations

• IE is fully recognized by the three leading accreditation agencies in the business education arena: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

International alliances

• IE is one of the founding members of SUMAQ, a network comprising leading business schools in Spain and Latin America. This alliance of eight business schools pools the resources of over 500 faculty spread over 11 campuses in Europe and Latin America.

• IE enjoys other alliances and agreements with institutions like Northwestern School of Law, and the Fletcher School at Tufts University, with whom it has implemented a dual degree

• In the area of Entrepreneurship, IE has created the Family Business Institute with Tec de Monterrey Business School in Mexico.
