Who We Are:
Historic Waitsfield Village Business Associa5on, Inc. We are composed of local business owners including retail, restaurants, property owners, and professional services in the Historic Waitsfield Village .
What We Are:
Mutual Benefit Nonprofit Corpora5on: Formed solely for the benefit it’s members.
Mission Statement:
To unite local businesses and address issues common to the Waitsfield Village Center in an effort to make our community a beIer place to live, work , and do business.
Note: We are not a charity or 501 (c ) ( 3 )

Why Organize:
As an organized Business Associa5on we can advocate effec5vely together versus going it alone. Pooling some of our available marke5ng resources will allow for an effec5ve use of our limited budgets to reach a greater customer base and drive consumers to our business district.
Together we can make a difference in our community and make the Waitsfield Village a beIer place to live , work and conduct business

GOALS : The WVBA promotes responsible respec\ul residency, and recognizes the value of local businesses to the economic health and vibrancy of our neighborhood.
The WVBA encourages the par5cipa5on of residents and business leaders in promo5ng neighborliness and crea5ng and preserving a safe, well-‐maintained and thriving community. The WVBA encourages the Mad River Valley community to show patronage to local businesses. In addi5on to the convenience of purchasing goods and services locally, you are helping to support local families and keep money and jobs in our community.

Job Descrip5on: Technology / Social Media Internship for Non Profit Business Associa5on: Individually tutor small businesses with varying levels of proficiency on how to establish and maximize social media presence as well as for the benefit of the Business Associa5on as a whole. Responsibili5es: -‐ Comfortable teaching many different ages, personali5es and skill levels -‐ Current knowledge on how to u5lize social media for Small to Medium size Businesses -‐ Generate insight into Associa5on performance and provide recommenda5ons for improvement -‐ Discover trending topics, Associa5on needs, and interests of members across social media, adjust content and messaging accordingly. -‐ Develop marke5ng strategies for the group to drive traffic to the Associa5on and business media sites Qualifica5ons: Currently enrolled in college Business related Social media experience Strong verbal and wriIen communica5on skills In depth understanding of social media channels related to SMB's: Blogs,TwiIer,Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram
