The synergy of two companies focused on the Customer Needs.

Building on 100-years of experience, Eaton Corporation’s

Cutler-Hammer Group is a leader in electrical power distribution, electrical control, and advanced industrial automation

solutions. In 1893 Harry Cutler and Edward Hammer formedthe Cutler-Hammer manufacturing company in Chicago. They

saw an opportunity to help make American homes and factoriessafer and more efficient in electrical power applications. Their

mission was to provide innovative and superior quality electricalproducts and services that help customers excel, thereby

creating value for employees, distributors, shareholders, andthe community.

The same mission is upheld today and suppor ted by the following:

·Focus everything we do on customers, both internal andexternal.

·Build success on the basic business principles of quality, promptness and continuous improvement.

·People are our most important asset.

·Empower individuals and encourage risk-taking.

·Our integrity, as defined in the «Corporate Code of Conduct,»should never be compromised.

·Distributors are our channel partners and critical to the successof our business.

·Conduct business - individually as well as a company - with aresponsibility to our community’s environment and safety.

In 1979, Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial company with59,000 employees and 195 manufacturing sites in 24 countries, acquired

Cutler-Hammer. In 1994 Eaton also purchased Westinghouse’s electricaldistribution and control business unit and merged it with the existing

Advantages &Benefits

The Concept of Integrated Systems (IS) wasfirst introduced by the end of the Fifties forProjects of Operat ion and Product ion ofPetroleum and Gas. By the end of the Seventiesbegins the use for Mining Operations as a way togive Distribution and Control of Energy.

In the Eighties the «IS» solution is used inthe area of the Telecommunications, due to theincreasing business that th is industryexperimented.

At the Beginning of the nineties, the «IS»concept is widely used in great scale investmentsfor a broad range of different purposes.

In conventional projects, great amount ofequipment, raw materials, par ts and pieces arereceived, stored and manipulated in land. Withthe Integrated Systems Solution, all thesematerials are dispatched and received in a "sin-gle package", ready for their star t-up.

Hundreds of subcontractors and hours ofconsultancy at the beginning of the operationsare replaced by a brief Field Test.

The Integrated Systems Solution is deliveredcompletely tested, preprogrammed and ready forits operation.

Benefits in saving, cost control, taxes, insurances, depreciation and others, can beappreciated by the investors and their financialteam.

At the beginning of the second half of the90’s, the IS solution is applied in remote locationsor temporary explotation such as the Pulp &Paper Business.

On a first stage of development, refurbishedISO Transpor tation Containers were used as themain choice for integrating Power and ProcessControl equipments.

The dimensions of the equipments and thecomplexity of the installations gave the proper«boost» for the design and construction of «NewSpecial Containers».

Distribution & Control Centers

Containers forDistribution and Indus-trial Electrical Control:PowerHouses

The Power Houses (Power

Distribution Room) allows to

concentrate distribution, con-

trol, and supervision systems of

electrical equipments in a com-

plete modular bui ld ing,

configured and tested, ready for

PEIDE INTERNATIONAL

produces, equips and

commercializes three classes of

transportable prefabricated mo-

dules for Power Systems:

CWS - Complete Welded StructureDesigned for heavy duty service, the CWS

model characterizes by its extreme rigidity andresistance to the deformations of transpor tationand use, which generates excellent benefits, withstanding any hostile surroundings, such asmining or oil extraction areas. The constructionmade with continuous MIG electrode, heatinsulation and dust and humidity-proof sealing, increases their durability.

BIS - Bolted / Interlocked StructureConstructed for medium to heavy duty

service, the BIS model is light and of fastmanufacturing. The Bolted structure, has thesame level of protection against dust and humiditythat the CWS model has, but with the advantageof a simplified manufacture at a lower cost. Thisclass of Power House is indicated for industrial, electrical distribution operations and in projectswhere a fast solution is needed (fast track).

FRP - Fiber Glass ReinforcedPolyester Panels

Light, high endurance and high qualitycompletions, the FRP model is designed withpolyester panels reinforced with fiber glass, bol ted and inter locked to the structure.Withstanding abrasives and high corrosionambients, such as acid production plants, refineries, marine coast, deser ts and salt lakes.

Generation & Transformation SheltersOnce finished the works of location in its

foundation or place of definitive assembly, it isnecessary to carry out the system connectionsof power and control from and towards theexternal loads. Electromechanical assemblingworks are not required or to execute workinterconnections, since the construction, assembly, equipment and accessor iesinstallations and tests of the generation packagesare made in the Factor y, previous to thetranspor tation to jobsite.

In the construction of the PGS are used stan-dard materials and components, which are instock at the factory. This allows to have contractsof open provision and high rotation of inventories,wi th impor tant cost savings and morecompetitive prices.

ApplicationsSome of the typical applications of the

Generation Stations are the following:

Fresh Water Treatment Plants.

Sewing Waters Treatment Plants.

Hospitals.

Airpor ts and Sea Por ts.

Temporary Construction Facilities.

Petroquemicals and Mining Facilities.

Remote Communicatios Stations.

Centers for Data Processing

Also, any other application that requiresbackup power, emergency, Stand-by or mainsource Energy.

GeneralDescription

The Prefabricated Generation

Stations (PGS) are electrical

bui ld ings wi th NEMA 4X

protection index for outdoor

insta l la t ion of generat ing

equipment diesel or Gas Turbo

generators.

The PGS Buildings can be equipped withventilation systems, walls and ceiling withacoustic isolation, systems of detection and/orfire extinguishing, fuel tanks, etc.

These Gen-Sets provides an electrical packa-ge, self-contained type, integrating all thenecessary equipment and elements for theiroperation and control, with a reduced cost ofinstallation, since the works on-site are diminished. The responsibility of the total of the provision restsin a single source.
