PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear Brothers, Sisters and loving young friends,

Jai Shree Ram!

The month of August was VERY SPECIAL, as we celebrated the Glorious PAST and the Bright FUTURE of India. It was

with great Pride, Enthusiasm & Joy, that we celebrated the 73rd Independence Day of India on the 11th of August,

2019. Due to the ongoing construction in the temple, we did not have the Flag Hoisting & the Parade outside this

year, however, the Day was celebrated with full vigor and patriotism inside the hall. Everyone dressed in the Saffron,

White & Green colors of the Indian Flag, wearing Caps, Sashes, Badges, Turbans etc. brought back old memories of

our hard earned Freedom. Uma Nath & Nitin Desai set up the tone of Nationalism with the evergreen Desh Bhakti

Songs. The children were no less!!! Aabeer & Anjika Avasthi Kids names performed on a medley of high energy songs,

and the entire Congregation Hall was seen singing and dancing along with them. Under the guidance of Satish &

Meera Chander, Kids from the Hindi Class also exhibited their talent and nationalism by playing the National Anthem

on the Keyboard.

I would like to specially acknowledge and THANK the Food Committee and Sanjha Parivar for their Innovative Ideas

and Efforts in presenting a Feast of Dishes, based on the theme of the TRICOLOR FLAG. It was a treat to see the

display of colorful Beverages, Puris, Raita, Kheer etc etc

HOM was also blessed with the presence of 2 wonderful Speakers this month…Shri Arjun Puri Ji---- enlightened the

Devotees with his inimitable style of singing the Ram Katha, and spoke on “Navdha Bhakti”. Shri Umesh Bhatia from

Science of Spirituality also joined us and spoke on the importance of “Prarthna”. In a very simple way, and with

practical instances from day to day life experience, he shared his views and was appreciated by all. I am grateful to all

these Saints & Learned Speakers who visit the temple and guide us on the path of righteousness.

“Janamashtmi” the Birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated very piously amongst ringing of Bells and Chanting on the

24th of August. Our learned Priests did an awesome job of decorating the “Jhoola” and making all arrangements for

the occasion. Subhash Sharma along with his Bhajan Mandli, sang bhajans and as the clock struck 12 at Midnight, the

priests did Abhishek of Ladoo Gopal and congratulated everybody on the auspicious Birth of Shri Krishna.

Finally, I would like to invite you all to join us on the 29th of September at PEARL BANQUET HALL for the Annual

Fundraiser Dinner. As always, we need your generous donations to accomplish our goals of providing good Services &

modern day Amenities for public safety and convenience.
