STR – with more than 175,000 rooms in the pipeline, the largest in company history.

• Maintained its status as the fastest growing major hotel company, expanding the company’s portfolio and surpassing all competitors in total rate of room growth.

• Opened its 4,000th hotel, the Hilton Shijiazhuang in the Hebei province of China.

• Launched its first ever portfolio-wide group meetings and events promotion for the Americas, Wish You Were Here.

• Joined forces with Vital Voices Global Partnership to help end child trafficking by launching the Global Freedom Exchange, a multi-faceted educational and mentoring program targeting emerging and established women leaders.

• Named by Working Mother magazine as one of the “Best Companies for Hourly Workers” in 2013 for the second year in a row.

Regional Americas • Signed management agreements in Mexico to manage the

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Santa Fe in the state of Morelos and to operate the Hilton Garden Inn Coatzacoalcos in the state of Veracruz.

• Signed a management agreement to complete a major renovation and add a new 50 room tower to the Hotel Companario in Toluca, Mexico, which will re-open as a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in late 2014.

• Opened the 12-story dual branded Hampton Inn & Suites Denver Downtown-Convention Center and Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown-Convention Center, which includes 120 Hampton rooms and 182 Homewood studio suites.

Europe • Will be the first hotel company in Turkey to surpass 10,000 rooms

operating and under development following the addition of three new hotels to Hilton Worldwide’s Turkish pipeline.

• Opened the first Hampton by Hilton hotel in the Romanian region of Transylvania.

• Entered Macedonia with the signing of a franchise agreement to open the DoubleTree by Hilton Skopje, expected to open in early 2015.

• Opened two new DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in London, the DoubleTree by Hilton London - Hyde Park and DoubleTree by Hilton London - Ealing, both of which are in the final stages of extensive refurbishments totaling £20m.

Middle East & Africa• Opened the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in South Africa,

the 183-room DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside located in Cape Town’s upcoming district of Woodstock.

• Partnered with the International Youth Foundation and the King Khalid Foundation to launch the Passport to Success initiative for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is aimed at engaging and developing Saudi youth for future careers.

• Launched a training program to help create sustainable hospitality careers for young South Africans, as part of Hilton Worldwide’s global Youth in Hospitality initiative.

Asia Pacific• Introduced DoubleTree by Hilton to Australia with the rebranding

of four Northern Territory hotels to DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin, DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin and DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs.

• Hilton Worldwide celebrated 25 years of operation in China.
