*Year 11, 12 & 13: The annual tuition fee (term fees x 3) for these Year Groups will be billed in two installments (AUGUST and JANUARY) only. **Boarding/School Deposit: paid once on joining the school but must be topped up if deductions are made for losses or breakages. Hillcrest Secondary and Senior Schools, September 2013 – August 2014 Important Information About Fees and School Programmes Please read carefully 1. The Fees given overleaf cover the costs of the indicated school programme and include provision and/or use of learning materials, school diary and
prescribed textbooks. They are also inclusive of day time snacks. They do not however include any registration or applicable examinations fees. 2. Indicated Fees are billed PER TERM in AUGUST, JANUARY and APRIL for Years 9 and 10. 3. The annual tuition fee (term fees x 3) for Years 11, 12 and 13 will be billed in two installments (AUGUST and JANUARY) only. 4. SIBLING discounts of 10% on the billing for TUITION FEES only are applicable for the second, third and fourth child. 5. Applications to join Hillcrest Secondary and Senior Schools are only processed on the submission of the duly completed REGISTRATION FORM and
on the payment of a non-refundable REGISTRATION FEE of KShs 5,000. 6. Once the offer of a place has been given this will ONLY be SECURED upon the payment of a 10% deposit towards the published term’s fees. This
deposit is DEDUCTIBLE in full against published term fees. 7. Pupils who cannot be accommodated immediately will be included on our waiting lists and parents informed immediately a place becomes available. 8. School Transport for children attending Hillcrest Secondary and Senior Schools is provided in Zonal and Fixed Stop modules. The charges for these
are given in the schedule overleaf. All buses have designated adult escorts. 9. Charges for special activities outside the NORMAL school programme are not included in this schedule and parents will usually be advised of these
(where applicable) by separate letter from the Head Teacher. 10. To cater for provision of materials additional charges are charged PER TERM for specialist subjects:
Food and Nutrition: KShs. 3,000 in Year 9, KShs. 5,000 in Year 10 and 11, and KShs. 6,000 in Year 12 and 13. Design and Technology: KShs. 2,000 in Year 9, 10 and 11, and KShs. 3,000 in Year 12 and 13.
11. The FULL payment of fees is required on, or before, the first day of term. As long as fees remain unpaid in full or in part the school may, at its discretion, require that a child cease to attend classes at any time. In addition, please note that a surcharge of 2% will be applicable per month for any amount that remains outstanding in the school fees account.
12. A FULL TERM’s NOTICE in writing and the Head Teacher’s acknowledgement in writing of the same is a mandatory requirement for withdrawals else, a FULL TERM’s FEES is PAYABLE in lieu of such notice.
