January Birthdays e Shadow Lake Leer A monthly newsletter for Hillcrest Shadow Lake residents Kevin’s Column January 2019 ank you to all those who came to our Christmas Dinner and Cookie Decorating event. is is such a fun event to get in the holiday spirit, and the residents enjoy spending an evening with loved ones. Cookie decorating is a tradition many families share, and I am glad we can bring this tradition to our residents here at Hillcrest Shadow Lake. e New Year is here, and it’s hard to believe that 2018 is over. Each New Year I think about how quickly the year has gone, and it seems like the years go by faster and faster. I hope you all had a wonderful 2018 and will have an even better 2019. During this New Year Hillcrest Shadow Lake will undergo an 11-month renovation project to upgrade the building, beginning January 7. More information to come. As we are right in the middle of cold and flu season, please remember the importance of hand washing to help stop the spread of illnesses. Fontenelle Forest will be here on the 10th at 2 p.m. to talk about animals. We will also be doing a couple outings. We will be making a trip to Walmart to do some shopping. And we will be doing a lunch outing. ese two trips will be weather permitting. Thank you to all those who came to our Christmas Dinner and Cookie Decorating event. This is such a fun event to get in the holiday spirit, and the residents enjoy spending an evening with loved ones. Cookie decorating is a tradition many families share, and I am glad we can bring this
