Turkish Airlines have an-

nounced flight discounts to

Turkish Airlines (Turk Hava Yollari

(THY) announced discounts on

flights to Ganja, Nakhchivan and Ba-

ku, "Bugun" newspaper reported on

Friday.

According to the publication, round

trip flights from Istanbul to Ganja

and from Istanbul to Nakhchivan

cost 99 euro. Round trip flights

from Istanbul to Baku cost 179 eu-

ro. The campaign will be valid for a

period from November 1, 2013 to

February 13, 2014.

Apart from Azerbaijan, Turkish Air-

The International Jazz Festival will be organized by the Culture

and Tourism Ministry and the Azerbaijani Culture Foundation

The ministry said the festival will involve well-known musicians from around the world. World-famous musicians including Joshua Redman, Kenny Garrett, Avishai Cohen, Marcus Miller, Christoph Cech will perform at the stages of the Heydar Aliyev Palace, the Mugham and the Jazz International Center. The program of the festival will also fea-ture Azerbaijani singers Salman Qambarov, Emil Afrasiyab, Mirjavad Jafarov and others performing solo pieces. Administrative building of The Golf Federation of Azerbaijan and Golf Academy opened in

Baku.

The event was attended by Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, President of the Gold

Federation Anar Mammadov, members of Milli Majlis, and Olympic champions.

Construction of the facility began in April 2012. The total land area of the building is 2,400

sm.

In the area of the Academy there are two golf simulators that allow fans of the game to test

themselves in 130 virtual sites in the world, including in Guba.

The Animals and Children Took to the Streets

Award-winning British theatre performance in Baku

Baku, 2 October 2013 - The British Council Azerbaijan, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture

and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is delighted to present the theatre performance The Ani-

mals And Children Took To The Streets by 1927 Theatre Company (United Kingdom) in the Russian

Drama Theatre on 11 October at 19:00, and 12 October at 14:00 and 19:00.

The Animals And Children Took To The Streets has won major awards around the world. The play

sold every ticket in the National Theatre in London for 40 performances in 5 weeks; it has been pre-

sented in all the major theatre festivals, and in theatres around the world from Birmingham to Bei-

jing – and now to Baku.

This performance is extraordinary. It brings you theatre as you have never imagined theatre – a mix

of drama, animation, film, and musical comedy. Real facts get mixed up with horrible tales, dark hu-

mour, cabaret songs and abstract space. Real actors interact with cartoons, seamlessly synchronising

live music, performance and story-telling with stunning film and animation. What they create is

something is startlingly original, and a bold example of British theatre-making. Not to be missed.

AZERBAIJAN OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT 2013

The AZ Open Golf Tournament has been running since 2001, and this event is

primarily attended by people that live / work here in Baku, and for those that

have since moved on to other locations. Over the last 4 years the AZ Open has

raised in excess of $100K for local charities/causes within Azerbaijan.

The next tournament will be Sunday and Monday, December 1st and 2nd,

2013 held in Dubai, UAE. The $500 entrance fee includes 2 rounds of golf at the

Montgomerie Golf Course Dubai, presentation dinners on the Sunday and Mon-
