Alice achieved a Distinction profile. She is now studying on a BSc Sports Rehabilitation course at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham. She spends her summer working in the USA at summer camps for abled bodied & disabled children.

Frazer achieved a triple D* profile on completion of the Extended Diploma, he was also a regular member of the Elite Academy with a focus on athletics. Frazer’s interest in fitness and personal health led to him applying to study the FdSc in Exercise, Health and Fitness which is run at Truro College and validated by Plymouth University

Matt achieved a triple D* profile on completion of the course. He was a regular member of the College Golf Academy and represented the College on a number of occasions. Matt combined his love of golf with the skills he learned on the E.Dip. by choosing to study BSc (Hons) Sports Management (Golf) at Bournemouth University.

Carol achieved a triple Distinction in her Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism. She then went on to do an Event Management
Success Course at Truro College. Carol always wanted a career in travel, and is now in
Lanzarote, working as a Resort Representative for a major tour operator, Thomson/TUI.

CASE STUDY 7OCR DIPLOMA IN ADMINISTRATION
(BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL)
Inga is working towards achieving her Level 3 Diploma in Administration and Diploma in Text Processing (Business Professional) qualifications after completing her A Level
studies here at Truro College. She felt she needed to take a gap year before continuing her studies at university.
This secretarial course has given Inga additional skills and qualifications which are recognised in the workplace. She
is now looking forward to using these skills as a way of funding herself through her business management
degree course.

CASE STUDY 8Extended Diploma in Business
(180 credits)
Josh completed his Extended Diploma in Business and having thoroughly enjoyed the marketing units, decided to
study this further at degree level. However, he did not want to become heavily in debt nor did he wish to leave
Cornwall so he decided to apply for the Foundation Degree in Business and Law. Currently in the second
year of his studies Josh is progressing well.
