VIPerPlus & Altair: where every mW counts

More than 10 years ago, ST launched the first series of

VIPer® (Vertical Intelligent Power enhanced regulator)

high-voltage converters from the mains

Today, PSUs must provide advanced performance,

and energy-saving regulations require greater efficiency

VIPerPlus & Altair meets the challenge:

• combining an 800V or 900V(Altair) avalanche rugged power

section with state-of-the art PWM circuitry for control

• offering a comprehensive set of features and built-in

protections

The result is an SMPS design that meets most demanding

energy saving regulations and is reliable, flexible and, with

component count halved, less expensive
