PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Quikcote Flexi-Patch is a high polymer cement based, highly flexible acrylic render. It can be used for many different applications due to its bonding strength, flexibility and long-term weather resistance. It can be used to rejuvenate old and new surfaces. PRODUCT: HIGH STRENGTH FLEXI-PATCH PACKING APPLICATION METHOD COVERAGE THICKNESS 20kg Bag Steel Trowel / Foam (polystyrene) float DRYING TIME 7 Days, Max Strength 28 Days 5-10 SqM/Bag 3-4mm High Strength Flexi-Patch • Apply first base coat of Quikcote Flexi-Patch of @ 3 -4mm thickness across the board with a steel trowel. • Work on a 1- 2m2 at a time, once the finish coat/s has firmed slightly, rub-up with a polystyrene /plastic float to produce an even, uniform and smooth surface. • Apply second coat of Flexi-Patch and finish off as mentioned above.(minimum two coats required) • Do not apply over expansion joints • Flexi-Patch should be completely dry before application of top coat, ideally 7 days from date of application. Blue-Board and FCS Joint application • Flexi-Patch is used for Blue Board joints, apply 2mm Flexi-Patch on joint recess using a steel trowel, embed a 50mm FG Mesh wet on wet into the recess and level of with Flexi-Patch and flushed to board surface. Once the joints have dried apply two coats of Quikcote QuikPatch Render. Do not apply if poor weather is anticipated .product should be applied at ambient and substrate temperature of between 10°C and 30°C and where the temperature is at least 5 degrees above the ambient dew point (or relative humidity of below 50% as an alternate guide). • Coated area must be protected from damage until the completion of the project; finished work must be protected from rain, frost and severe weather conditions until fully dried. • Primer/ Paint coatings should not be applied to mineral coating until sufficiently hardened and dried. SUITABLE SUBSTRATE Thin section flexible render, ideal for difficult substrates • Polystyrene Panels • Joints on Blue Board and Fibre cement sheeting • Previously painted surfaces • Masonry and rendered surfaces • AAC Hebel blocks and panels. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION • Areas not to be coated should be masked and protected. • All surfaces to be rendered must be dry, clean, sound and free from contaminants including; oil, mould release, dust, dirt, silicone, mud, grease, salt, efflorescence, animal droppings and any loose or flaking material. APPLICATION Tools/Machinery Required: Hawk & Steel trowel, Polystyrene float, plastic floats, straight edge, sponge, power mixer, masking tapes, drop sheeting. • Mix one (1) 20Kg bag of Flexi-Patch to @ 3.5 – 4.5 litres of clean water using a power mixer. • Add the Dry Mix water steadily while mixing with a power stirrer until the consistency is smooth and lump free. • Allow the mix to stand for 5 minutes, remix before use or before adjusting consistency if required. • Apply first base coat of Quikcote Flexi-Patch of @3 -4mm thickness across the board with a steel trowel.

Please Refer to Material Safety Data Sheet before use;When workings with Flexi-Patch observe the usualprecautions for handling cement based products, including the following;

• Avoid inhalation of the dust, wear suitable respiratory protection mask, avoid prolonged skin contact with wet mortar and eye contact. (contains sand based crystalline silica and alkaline cement)

• Wear protective clothing to minimize skin contact and wear goggles where splatter is likely.

FIRST AID MEASURESIngestionIf swallowed, wash out mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Drink at least two (2) glasses of water. Seek medical attention.

EyeWash with copious amount of water for 15 minutes holding eyelid(s) open. Take care not to rinse contaminated water into non-affected eye. Seek medical attention.

WARRANTY & LIMITATIONSPlease refer to Manufacturer’s Warranty documentation for details;The liability of Quikcote Victoria Plaster Technologies Pty Ltd (Quikcote) for any loss, damage or other expenses (whether incurred directly or indirectly) inconnection with use of Quikcote Flexi-Patch is limited to as under;

• Quikcote provides a material only replacement warranty caused by any defect in manufacture when used in conjunction with the full Quikcote Wall-Coating System for a period of ten years when applied correctly by a skilled and experienced applicator in accordance with all current application recommendations as per and the Quikcote Wall coating System composition recommendation, including but not limited to, substrate type and preparation, application rates and methods, prevailing weather conditions and protection of finished work. Application dates, quantities must be recorded and supplied as a minimum to commence potential product failure investigation.

• Quikcote provides no warranty, expressed or implied, against damage due to movement of the substrate or structure.

• This product should be used in accordance with directions which are only a guide. Quikcote accepts no responsibility for inappropriate use or faulty workmanship. All mineral earth based aggregate /course filler based renders and textures will contain a low percentage of carbon and/or ferrous contaminants and can occasionally spot the surface. All care is taken in raw material selection to minimize such effects. Quikcote accepts no responsibility for this occasional occurrence.
