Attendance and Behavior   Dismissal and Pickup We work hard to end on time. Please make sure you have your ride at Jefferson by 4:30 on each day you are called to rehearsal. If you are consistently unable to leave by 4:30pm, your family will be contacted and you may not be able to continue in the show. Conflict Calendar In the audition form (see page 9 of this packet), there is a calendar for you to list any and all previous conflicts you will have during our production time. Please list EVERYTHING--vacations, doctor appointments, religious commitments, Scholastic Bowl matches, piano lessons, sporting events, etc. Unexcused Absences You are allowed THREE unexcused absences that are not listed in the Conflict Calendar. Upon your fourth unexcused absence, your further participation may be reviewed. Tardies You are allowed up to FIVE tardies for any reason. This includes detentions and making up tests. At your sixth tardy, your further participation will be reviewed. If you come to rehearsal tardy, you MUST have a pass from a teacher. Behavior/Zero-Tolerance Policy Any behavior that violates the Student Code of Conduct, especially bullying, will result in appropriate consequences, including dismissal from the show. We reserve the right to dismiss a cast or crew member at any time for any rule violation. Eligibility We must adhere to the school’s policy on eligibility and grades. Please contact your grade level administrator or counselor to review these policies. We run eligibility weekly. School Attendance/Suspension/Social Probation If you are not in school due to sickness, suspension, or any other reason, OR you are on the social probation list, you may NOT attend rehearsals after school.

Frequently Asked Questions Is there a website for our show? YES! Visit jmsmusicals.weebly.com for audition materials, callback and cast lists, copies of any handout, rehearsal materials, photos, and more! When do rehearsals end? Rehearsals are from 2:45-4:15. At the end of each rehearsal, we ask students to stay to help clean up, so expect your student to exit rehearsal at 4:20. Please see the Attendance and Behavior page for more details. Where do I sign up to Audition? Sign up for an audition with Mr. Kimbrel or Ms. Lopez by the end of school on Tuesday, February 18th. What are callbacks? Callbacks are the directors’ way of hearing certain students and groups a second time. It does not necessarily reflect your role in the show--we just need to hear you again. If you are called back, your attendance is required. We post callback lists after each afternoon of auditions. Callbacks will occur from 2:45-4:45 on Friday, February 21st. When will the cast list be posted? The FINAL cast list will be posted at some point over the weekend of February 22nd. We guarantee it to be up by 10pm on Sunday, February 23th, which is the day before our first rehearsal. This list will include cast AND crew. When do rehearsals begin? Our first rehearsal is Monday, February 24th from 2:45-4:15. All cast AND crew are required to attend. If you do not attend, we will assume you do not want your role and it will be reassigned to another cast member. Who is cast? Due to cast requirements and time restraints, we may not be able to cast every student who auditions. We will also be unable to discuss specific reasons as to why your student is not cast in the show.

Without the support of every student and their family, a production like this is impossible. Please look below and check any way you might be able to support our show.

Ticket Sales - We are looking for parents to coordinate ticket sales at all three public performances.

Cast and Crew Party - Every year we have a party to celebrate the work we have done at the conclusion of our final show. We need someone to coordinate food, donations, set-up, and decorations. We also need people to help set-up, clean-up, and prep before hand.

Sewing/Costuming - If you are able to sew, hem, take in a piece of clothing, or something really elaborate, we would love to have your help with many of our sewing projects that come up during the show.

Financial Donation - The show we produce each year impacts our financial resources. Donations of all amounts can help us to offset our costs!

Other - Please let us know how you can help!
