Enforex is one of the leading institutes for teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The student can learn Spanish from a basic level to a profi ciency level and also have the opportunity to become acquainted with the Spanish lifestyle and culture. Enforex can also design courses specifi c to each student and tailored according to his or her needs.

Enforex gives you the opportunity to learn Spanish by living the life of any Spanish youngster through its high school program, which will enrich, without a doubt, your cultural and academic knowledge through the exposure to people from different languages, habits, cultures.

Enforex organizes this program in Madrid, Barcelona (offi cial languages Catalán and Castellano), Málaga and Salamanca.

Barcelona is a cosmopolitan city on the vanguard, always open to new cultures, where cultural and artistic activities arise every day. Its population is bilingual (they speak Catalán and Castilian Spanish), so public education is given in both languages. For this reason, the possibilities of studying high school in a public school are limited and we recommend a private one as the best choice.

Madrid offers plenty of possibilities for those who choose Madrid as their residence. It is a city with great cultural diversity, old traditions and a rich history and is also conveniently located right in Spain’s centre. It welcomes many students from different parts of Spain who attend University here from other provinces.

For students who do not belong to the European Union, it is necessary to have both a sworn translation of the marks the seal of the corresponding offi cial organization.

Legalisation procedures via diplomatic methods

• This legalisation is done by the educational authorities in the country of the student’s origin (Department of Education, or the like), when it deals with accredited study documents (Degrees, Studies certifi cates, diplomas, etc). In this fi rst step, the educational Authorities RECOGNIZE AS AUTHENTIC, the signature of the person whom sends the Document.

If the document to be legalized is an academic one, the authorities of the corresponding department must legalize the signatures on these documents (employment documents, proof of nationality or residence, etc.).

• After that, Department or External Affairs from the country of the document must legalize the signature mentioned above. In this second step, the signature of the Educational Ministry (or that of a related Department) will be recognised as authentic).

• Finally, the documents have to be taken to the Spanish Diplomatic Authorities in the country of origin (Embassy, Consulate, Council, chargé d’Affaires, etc).

3.1 Visa kind “D”

Dear Partner,

Thank you for your interest in our High School Programme.

Below please fi nd information about some of the steps that are necessary to complete the student’s enrolment in the program (if you have already taken any of the steps below, please disregard them).

Phase I: Initial booking (FROM YOU TO US)

Step 1. Request the High School Informational Booklet which contains among other things:

a. Basic information. b. Prices. c. A copy of the application form.

Step 2. Send us the completed application form. Please state clearly the student’s preferences:

a. Public/Private High School.b. City wished to attend. (Please consult with us

beforehand if you wish to attend the program in Catalonia or in the Basque Country).

c. Date you would like to startd. Length of the program. e. Current level of Spanish.f. Do you need the student to receive the offi cial

diploma of the year or not?

Step 3. Send us a translated and certifi ed (by a public notary) copy of the student’s school transcripts for at least the 6 previous years of education up to the last year completed.

Step 4. Send us a certifi ed copy of the student’s passport pages that show the personal information, date of birth, picture and passport number.

Step 5. Send us 6 pictures (size 3x4 cm. —approximately).

Phase II: Letter of provisional acceptance (FROM US TO YOU)

As soon as we received the application form from you, we will send you a temporary confi rmation letter. If the student is enrolling in a private school, we will not be able to send you a fi nal invoice. The cost of a private school varies. As soon as we have the student placed we will send the total invoice.

8 First Steps

Phase III: Convalidation of previous education for the Spanish Ministry of Education (FROM YOU TO US)

Note: This does not mean a convalidation with the student’s native country’s Ministry of Education.

It is done for two reasons:1. So that the Spanish Ministry of Education is able to

verify that the student is indeed able to attend a Spanish School.

2. To determine the school year the student should be enrolling in.

We must present a copy of the student’s school transcripts (for at least the 6 previous years of education up to the last completed year of education) in the following conditions:

Step 1. The transcript must be translated into Spanish by an offi cial translator (with his/her seal on it).

Step 2. The transcript must be certifi ed (validated by a public notary).

Step 3. The transcript must have the following offi cial seals of recognition:

a. A seal of recognition by the proper authorities of the Ministry of Education of the student’s country of origin.

“Sello del reconocimiento por las autoridades del Ministerio de Educación del país de origen de las fi rmas que fi guren en el documento original, cuando se trate de documentos acreditados de estudios. El reconocimiento por las autoridades del departamento correspondiente del país de los acreditados de cualquier otra circunstancia.” (In their own words).

b. A seal of recognition by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

“Legalización por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores del país de origen del reconocimiento efectuado en el supuesto anterior.” (In their own words).

c. A seal of recognition by the Spanish Consulate in the student’s country of origin.

“Reconocimiento de la fi rma de la anterior legalización por el Agente Diplomático español en el país de origen.” (In their own words).

Please note that all this must be done on the same document and that it should be provided as soon as possible. If there are any questions about these steps, please do not hesitate to ask.

Phase IV & V: Family/School assignment (FROM US TO YOU) Our main goal is to fi nd the perfect match among the student’s personal information, the family information and the schools within a close distance to the homestay family’s home. The families are assigned according to the student’s personal information. We will strive to fi nd a family with children within the age range of the student. However, that is not always possible.

We ask, as soon as we send you the information about your host family, that you contact them in order to start establishing a stable and friendly relationship.

Phase VI: Visa paperwork (FROM US TO YOU) Once we have assigned the family, we will be able to send all the documents necessary to obtain the Student Visa (Type “D”).

Please check with the Spanish Consulate in your country as to what they will require for each student. Even though we have the basic requirements, the Consulates reserve the right to demand extra documentation.

Besides the documents that the Consulate will ask you (personal/parental proof of fi nancial means, etc.), you will need the following documents from us:

1. A confi rmation on original letterhead (with our seal and signature).

2. An invoice with the total cost of the program (with our seal).

3. A letter of acceptance (Certifi cado) addressed to the Consulate that contains:

a. The name of the family.b. The length of the program.c. A statement showing that all fees have been fully

paid for. IMPORTANT: In order for us to issue this document,

we must have proof that at least 50% of the fees have been sent to us. A photocopy of the wire transfer would be acceptable.

d. Our seal and signature.

NOTE: Duplicate all original documents that the Consulate requires from you, as the student might need the same documents to request the student ID once he/she arrives. Have the student take the duplicate of these documents with him/her.

Phase VII: Convalidation in student’s home country (FROM YOU, FOR YOU)

If the student wishes to convalidate the program in his/her home country, we ask that you contact the Ministry of Education in your own country to inquire about the process.

Unfortunately, although we will be at your disposal to assist you with documents needed from us or the school attended, we cannot be held responsible for this process and whether the convalidation is possible or not.

Please note, that although we have assigned phases, there will be times that they will overlap or change order. As the process moves along, we will be in touch to keep you informed. If you have any doubts at any point, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
