As media professionals, we know so well that in order to serve the audience and to meet their expectations, we cant afford to do anything less than showing our high performance. New Social Media have been emerging so quickly. By the time we realize about their existence, they have already occupied the media landscape and become part of the daily life of most people in the world society. Slide 4 High Performance Culture for Broadcasting Organizations To keep broadcasting alive, attractive, and competitive, high performance is a must. To create High Performance Culture for broadcasting organizations very much depends on various factors, circumstances, status, and their levels of development. Slide 5 High Performance Culture for Broadcasting Organizations Since its inception in 2008: Thai PBS has been following the universal value of public broadcasters in speaking to everyone as a citizen. It also strives to achieve the followings: To encourage public awareness and participation in the building of a just and democratic society. To educate, inform and entertain diverse sectors of the society -- aiming at promoting quality citizenry. To contribute to a sense of identity, cultural diversity and social harmony. To reflect social diversity and provide space for minorities and specific groups with an aim of promoting public participation both at the local and national levels. Slide 6 High Performance Culture for Broadcasting Organizations To keep high performance, Thai PBS has to start from creating understanding of its staff about the functions of the public media and commitments it has to the society. High Performance Culture has to be instilled in the hearts and minds of the staff members. Thai PBS is launching the Branding strategy this year with the tag line -- TV You Can Trust. Trust must come with the accountability and credibility the people have upon the organization. Trust is a fruit of High Performance Culture. TVYou can trust Slide 7 High Performance Culture for Broadcasting Organizations Thai PBS was able to pass the tests on its independence, impartiality and accuracy when it professionally reported the political turmoil in the country last year. The results of many surveys showed that a great percentage of audience was satisfied with the work of Thai PBS. Slide 8 High Performance Culture for Broadcasting Organizations it is not yet to say that High Performance Culture is already there in the organization. Obviously, it takes years before good practices become a culture. Many more trainings on every aspect of production and broadcasting system, learning from own experiences, sharing of knowledge and expertise with other organizations are to be done continuously.
